Kate (355 KP) rated Supernatural - Season 4 in TV
Mar 18, 2019
This series started off a bit darker than series three, and the whole humor angle seemed to have disappeared but wait until episode five, it is absolutely brilliant. It is done in black and white and reflects the old black and white horror movies and everything is spot on, the lighting, sets. Even if you don't watch the whole series just watch this episode.

So this was an interesting story. it wasn't my favorite but it was decent. I liked the characters but felt like the threesome part of it was kinda thrown in there for no reason to be honest.. but i really liked the concept of those three had they stayed together. it was still a good story and im glad i got to review it
ArecRain (8 KP) rated The Gladiator's Mistress (Champions of Rome, #1) in Books
Jan 18, 2018
I was thrilled to receive this novel as it encompasses three of my favorite things: historical Roman romance. While I enjoyed the book overall, I wasnt blow away by it. Everything seemed so simple from the plot to the characters. There is nothing wrong with the story, I just felt like it was lacking in some factor to really make it stand out.
Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2568 KP) rated Still Life (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
The death of a retired school teacher shocks the community of Three Pines. But was it an accident or murder? It took me quite a while to sort out the characters. Once I did, I really got hooked on them and the story.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2568 KP) rated Crime de Cocoa (A Chocoholic Mystery #1-3) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
The collection of the first three Chocoholic mysteries plus the short story that was set and released before the series started. If you haven't started the series, this might be the place to start. The stories are light but fun and the characters are great.

Dana (24 KP) rated Daughters of the Moon, Volume 2 (Daughters of the Moon, #4-6) in Books
Mar 23, 2018
I enjoyed these three books. They are very quick reads. The only thing I had an issue with was the repetitive parts. Those who have read the previous books would know what is happening with the girls. Also, there were two missing quotation marks, but that is just something that irritates me no matter what book it is. Other than that, it was a pretty fun read.
Katt2018 (139 KP) rated Legendary: Caraval Book 2 in Books
Aug 14, 2018
This picks off right where the first ends no weird time jumps and yes guesses that I made in the first book came to be in this book.eek so happy I love the twist from the first book to this even with the magic this book felt so real I didn't want it to end and now to wait for book three
Jessica Erdas (463 KP) rated The Lunatic Cafe (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #4) in Books
Sep 18, 2018
A little predictable at points through the story but interesting, nonetheless. Again with spelling errors and repeated dialogue from the previous three books which have gotten to the point where they incite an eye roll every time I run across one. I do like how the story is progressing and hope for some romantic development soon.
Katie (59 KP) rated Hannah's gift in Books

Emotional
Contains spoilers, click to show
An emotional well written book, the author opens up about the run up to the death of her young daughter who falls ill at the age of three and her life beforehand. She also talks about life after and how her and her family struggled to come to terms with what had happened. I struggled to put the book down and felt emotionally involved whilst reading.
