"I still don’t know what happens in this film, and I’ve seen it three times. And yet each frame is so exquisite you could hang it on a wall. Peter Weir manages to say so many obliquely profound things about repression, innocence, and the price of sexual awakening that he casts an insurmountable shadow over lesser, more concrete films about the same subject matter."

This is one of those books where you can read it so easily and quickly but at the same time not a lot seems to happen. Admittedly, that end bit has intrigued me with just who was the male voice on the end of that phone. One of two, possibly three, people. And since i have book 2 just waiting to go, I'm jumping straight into it.

I don't remember much from the first one in this series but it had to be amazing for me to give it five stars because I very rarely give them out.

I didn't need to remember much though because a lot was explained at least he beginning of this and I just fell back into the story. I love Daemon!

Off to start book three!!

"This beautiful memoir takes us on Tembi’s personal journey of love, parenthood, and ultimately the loss of her husband, Saro. She learns to heal in the most beautiful way—through the support of three generations of women—and yes, there’s Italian food. Lots and lots of Italian food! I can’t wait for you to fall in love with this book the way I did."

This has been on my to read list for over three years. I'm so glad I read it, I have some knowledge of people on the autistic spectrum, though I'm by no means an expert. Cathy brings her warmth, kindness and understanding to Danny and his parents as she does all of those she works with, and the results she gets are spot on!

"There’s a film called Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter… and Spring. I saw it at the Angelika on my birthday in New York, maybe ten years ago? It never left me — it’s such a good film. It’s tremendous and beautiful. There’s like twelve words in the whole thing. It’s about a floating monastery in the middle of a lake. There’s like three people in it. That was amazing."
