Unnerving thriller with lots of different threads
While elements of this psychological thriller seem far-fetched, there's something ghoulish and almost Stephen King-like in its approach.

Following the narrative of Ed, the teacher recounts his childhood with his friends and the time they found the dismembered body of a young woman. In the meantime, chalk drawings keep appearing, and take a life of their own.

While the ending is startling and worth listening to the finish, at times the back and forth narrative from past to future becomes convoluted and can be hard to keep track, let alone concentrate. A good thriller, but with a lot of loose ends.

A good espionage Thriller
I didn't see many reviews before seeing this, just a trailer. It's a very stylish spy thriller with some great cast members.
The trailer made it seem quite a seductive thriller, whilst it does have some sex scenes and nudity it's gratuitous rather than sexy. It's quite violent and brutal at times with some torture scenes.
Overall the story is interesting but not gripping and the pacing is up and down in the 2nd half of the film. Thankfully the ending was decent and Lawrence does well in a challenging role.

Average Thriller
Missed this at the cinema so caught it on Sky cinema. Pretty average Thriller featuring an undercover informant. Events make him not sure who to trust and put him and his family at risk.
The main problem is this feels like a lot of other undercover plot type films but no where near as good. Some of the decisions made and actions taken didn't make much sense. It has quite a low budget feel to it overall. Lots of twists and turns to a predictable ending. It's all a bit clichéd by the end. An ok thriller but nothing special.
