There’s something for everyone: a domestic drama that unfolds in a picture-perfect suburb, a psychological thriller set in 19th-century Ireland, a history of improv comedy, even a heist novel that takes place on the moon.

This season is going to be awesome for book lovers. Entertainment Weekly has put together some irresistible new books from some of our favourite authors.

The French Godfather
A simple and predictable gangster revenge thriller with some good action scenes. Not bad for a foreign film with a small budget.

Fairly good thriller. This was the first of the 'Girl/Woman' trend in the title book that I read, and I wasn't disappointed. I figured out the killer around halfway through, but I still enjoyed it, nonetheless.

A decent enough thriller if nothing new, or groundbreaking. I enjoy thrillers and the tracking of a serial killer type. It has a few jumpy moments, although the plot is a bit predictable. Still enjoyable to watch.

A great little thriller and the first film directed by Clint Eastwood. I imagine quite powerful in its day, one of the first obsessive, stalker thrillers. No doubt encouraged the likes of Fatal attraction and countless others.
