Bit of a flat ending (0 more)
Knock Knock
A new slightly odd Thriller from M.Night Shyamalan.
A good cast and one that keeps you guessing for a while. Ultimately though the ending wasn't in the usual formula for his films. It felt a bit flat without the usual big shock reveal. Ok for a watch but nothing exciting.

Humour misses the mark by a mile (0 more)
Oh dear
A very dry, dead pan black comedy indie film. I thought it was going to be a thriller. Despite the cast this falls very flat. It's very predictable and not funny. The dialogue came across as if everyone was pretending to be a robot for some reason? One to skip.

An ok remake of a film from 1970 with the same name. This one is set in Argentina, which seems to be the only real change. The fact I not heard of it and it was made last year and stars the lovely Amber Heard was a worry. Sure enough this is largely a fairly slow, dull, drama/thriller about the perils of being off the beaten track if you're not careful. The last 3rd of the film was ok as we finally get some action, but it has a made for TV feel to it. There have been many better horror films on a similar theme with Turistas and Hostel, Train. For a thriller I would go with either Hush or Shuttle. Even Amber Heard fans might find this too slow.

Mindblowing Murder Mystery
Any fan of a jolly good, old fashioned murder mystery may enjoy a new spin on the favourite format. Imagine an Agatha Christie style thriller from the point of view of several characters, a narrator who swaps bodies and arrives at different times in their week. He must solve the murder of Evelyn Hardcastle, avoid the evil Footman and play time to his advantage if he is ever allowed to leave Blackheath. This was a complex, and yet highly enjoyable, work of fiction. Within three chapters you will begin to appreciate the work it must’ve taken Turton to create this tense thriller. It’s an exhilarating peek into the minds of other characters and their perspectives, the more their individual stories overlap, the more the narrative flows. Definitely a book for discussion.
