But Amara feels a responsibility to free or buy the friends she has left behind.
I loved the world building in this book. And even though she’s supposedly free, she is still constrained by her sex and status. Being a woman doesn’t seem like much fun at any point in history. Whilst Roman women may have had more rights than many others, I struggled to see any advantages. Whilst I live reading about history, I have NO wish to travel back in time. Only men could do that in relative safety, I think. And I’m happy with my antibiotics and my rights, thanks!
So Amara decides to work with her strengths, and continues to sing for money with Victoria and two slaves that she buys with the help of a friend.
It becomes apparent though, that Rufus is becoming bored with Amara, and she starts playing a dangerous game.
I seriously can’t wait until the third part of this trilogy. You just know that there’s going to be a pretty BIG event coming up (Vesuvius, anyone?!), and I’m desperate to know how this all plays out.
Highly recommended.

In the seemingly hopeless quest to get back Mine, we travel to the past, once to the time of the Witch Trials, and then further back to before the places we know even exist.
For me, this book is split into parts - Before, Witch Trials, Beginning, and After. If I'm being completely honest (which I always am in my reviews), I loved Before, adored and cried at the Witch Trials, enjoyed Beginning, and smiled at After. Make of that what you will!
I'm really REALLY hoping for more. I don't know if I'm quite ready to let go of Seamus, Mine, and family. The ending didn't leave me with a feeling of finality, so who knows? Maybe if I whinge and whine at Mr Jadison, he may relent. But then, I felt the same way after books one AND two, so maybe I'm just very greedy *grabby hands*!
A brilliant story and series that I have thoroughly enjoyed, and have no hesitation at all in recommending!

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Mothergamer (1536 KP) rated the PC version of Fable III in Video Games
Apr 3, 2019
Once you have your army, the revolution can begin and Fable 3 becomes a tactician strategy game where the tough decisions you make actually have an impact in the story. Interaction with others is one on one now making it easier to recruit followers or woo a spouse. Another thing that I loved is the solution to the clunky menu system. That is gone and you now have the sanctuary where you can organize weapons, costumes, and your full magic arsenal. There is also an offline and online co-op feature that works really well so you can play with others and pool together treasure, resources, and rewards from adventuring together.
That isn't to say that there aren't any problems. There are a few. At times, there are loading time issues with the load screen as you enter a new area. There are also little graphic errors here and there where you're holding an npc's hand for a quest and as you are running, it looks like they're not holding hands with you, or they end up stopping and standing there so you have to come back to get them. Even with the world map and fast travel, there still seems to be a loading issue.
However, you forget all that as you play Fable 3 immersed in fun quests, planning a revolution, and deciding if you will be a hero or a villain. Who knew revolution could be so much fun?
