A time travel tale...
Pretty cool fast paced read about a kid with an illness, his older self coming through time to warn of coming events, and a first kiss...

I love time travel stories, and this one falls incredibly short for me. This was written for a 1970's audience with a 1960's mindset. It doesn't do much for 2010's sensibilities. The themes are very lacking in their strength. The ideas seem a little haphazardly put together. I didn't like the main character, the plot getting up to the time travel was quite boring, the time travel itself was a bit intriguing. The whole motivations for the entire book were a bit suspect at best.
It was enjoyable which is why I gave it 3 stars. It, by far, is not the worst time travel novel I've ever read, but it certainly isn't the best. It's clearly middle of the road.

I'm a sucker for a good love story. I'm also a sucker for a good time travel story. This movie delivers both. This isn't just a love story between a man and woman, but between a son and his father and family. You might want to have a few kleenex handy. When it's over you'll want to run to the nearest closet, clinch your fists, close your eyes, and travel back in time to watch this movie time and time again.

Solid Series
These guys did the time travel thing with a twist. Worth watching if you're looking for something sci-fi on Netflix.

The New Year always makes me ponder on the passage of time. That also made me think about this highly creative novel, which is a carefully written and fascinating to read, despite the somewhat unbelievable aspect that anyone could have a genetic problem that causes them to travel in time. Find out what I thought of this best-selling debut novel by Audrey Niffenegger in my review here. http://drchazan.blogspot.com/2014/09/take-time-to-travel-with-this-book.html

I'm very much enjoying how Sweterlitsch combines Sci-Fi and mystery in very engaging thought provoking ways. I've read, watched, and consumed a lot of time travel stories. There are tons of bad ones, but this is an excellent take and surprisingly takes care of a few plot hole problems inherent in time travel stories. As someone who has been trying to write a time travel story for over 8 years, I really appreciate good stories that help to revive my passion for the genre.
I'm really excited to find out what they do with the movie adaptation, and I'm really enjoying Sweterlitsch's work. I look forward to his future projects.
