"A book about mountains, loss, death, life, living Zen and everything else in between. Living on a mountain myself, Peter reminds me that the mountains and stones are alive. Friends that I speak to daily. Peter Matthiessen, together with Gary Snyder, Arne Naess and John Cage are my teachers on how to grow older. With vigor, elegance and spark."

Amazing !!

I usually don't like reading combo books, but this one was different. Such good stories! They are full length books, not just short stories. The characters all are very easy to like, and the story lines make it a difficult book to put down !! Thanks so much for writting it ! Can yall do another one together ?

"When I read the last page of this heartbreaking, funny, hopeful novel I went right back to the first page and read the whole book again! A beautiful movie star, a dreamy Italian man, a schlocky producer, an ambitious assistant, a rock star, a wannabe screenwriter, and Richard Burton all come together in the most winning way imaginable."

Hmm...well i have to say i'm a little disappointed because i kinda wanted to see Lexi and Jack get together but he kinda let me down at the end, though it was all kinda going in the right direction at the end of the last book, but oh well, she probably is better off with Ramsey...

I struggled from the beginning with this. It wasn't the smoothest read and I didn't understand the relationship she had going with Clay, it was so dysfunctional. Then there was the length of the book; info dump occasionally, unnecessary bits that I skipped all together and just boredom in places.

I won't be continuing the series.

"I wanted to throw a comedy in there. I just remember seeing that movie, and Jimmy Stewart, and just the whole way Ernst Lubitsch tells his story comedically… I’m sure there were ones that came before that, but to me it felt innovative in the sense that it was a bunch of disparate storylines coming together in the end.#"

"There’s a poem of Heaney’s that describes a couple peeling potatoes together while everyone’s at Mass. Such a mundane task, but that image of a couple at their closest while they peel potatoes—oh my god, it fucked me up. It’s such an intimate thing. How Heaney can dissolve you into tears without being sentimental is an extraordinary thing."
