I was really enjoying this up until about the 40% mark and then I kinda started to lose interest. It could have been all the sex they were having or the beginning of the change in their relationship from just fun loving sex buddies to wanting to be together but I kinda stopped feeling so excited about their story.

Nevertheless I did like it.

Honestly, I tired of the endless descriptions on how Benella and the staff worked to put the feast together and I became irritated with the slow, halting events that tried to bring Benella and Alec closer. Despite this, I am pleased with the ending, even if it felt rushed after so much unnecessary information about the process of putting the estate back to its former glory.

This movie is my childhood. Howl is the guy I aspire to be with and Sophie is the whimsical beauty I wish I could be. It is by far my favourite Studio Ghibli movie and will continue to be far into the future. I love the story and the romance, how Howl and Sophie battle things together and eventually realise their love for each other. Beautiful.

Movie Rating

It was very interesting watching this movie again after seeing the conclusion to the MCU. Compared to the concluding films of the franchise, Avengers feels like it is cobbled together. A lot of the dialogue felt stilted this time around and very unnatural. I still really love this movie and it brought back a lot of nostalgia, but it isn't as good as I remember it being.
