Sweet but thin storyline
Nikesh Shukla's latest literary escapade is sweet, exploring familial ties and how fate plays a role in this family. The narrators include terminal cancer patient Neha, Kenyan-born father Mukesh, and hapless comedian brother Rakesh, each playing a role in their so-called pre-determined destinies.

The writing is witty and it's always wonderful to hear voices that represent BAME communities in modern Britain. But unfortunately it is a little thin in plot and storyline. It is a host of voices speaking about their perspectives and intricately joining together. An easy read.

Fern and Abram not getting in the love. Abram is taking care of his siblings for a amount of time. He is always turning to her for something. The way they get together is quite different from any other way and I really enjoyed it.

Each book or story in the book is different. They found their romance differently form each one. Each story tell a different story. I like this some for that means there are three different ways. Each one is a wonderful read and enjoyment. You can read it if you like and decide for yourself.

This book did not disappoint in any way. It was just amazing as the two others in this series. The Castle Lighthouse and The Fakerville Power Station were catching as the third installment.

The Font family consist of Edgar, Audrey and Garrett Font. The Fonts get a mysterious package delivered to them. They encounter a young ghost, who strongly needs their help. They must piece together clues and break the ancient spell. If they fail, they could be trapped forever. They meet up with an unexpected foe of Edgar. Can the Fonts break the spell and find the treasure? I strongly recommend it.

Life (2017)
2017 | Horror, Sci-Fi, Thriller
Highly competent SF-horror movie from the modular school of movie scripting (i.e., it's basically Gravity Meets The Thing). Scientists on the ISS bring back microbes from Mars, grow their own alien in the lab - ensuing gribbly creature does not take well to captivity, makes a break for freedom, grisliness follows.

Goes to show that you don't always need originality to make an entertaining movie - yes, it's openly derivative of many other movies, but blends its sources together inventively. Production and actors are both very capable, too. Attempt at a twist ending is somewhat clumsy, but forgivable.

Amazing action scenes
Great soundtrack
Slated by critics? However this is a moving film based around the events of Pear Harbour. It may take the story in the direction of two friends who grow up together to become pilots and fall for the same woman, but an underlying love story didn't cause Titanic any problems? The SFX are amazing and the bombing of Pearl Harbour is done on a huge scale and saddening to watch. This is a true epic of a film, artistically shot, well directed and with great lead actors which handle the tragic event so well.

While I very much enjoyed the first story, Sleepy Hollow, I was not as big a fan of the other five stories. I was expecting major creep factor, especially since Sleepy Hollow is so often turned into Halloween films, but it just wasn't there.

I think I am just not a big fan of Irving's writing style.

Rock Paper Books did an excellent job putting the stories together, though. The cover art was stunning and I am so glad I got this as part of my August 2017 Owlcrate.

All in all, it wasn't horrible, just not my cup of tea.

Graphics are incredible, the gameplay is a lot of fun. There is a good challenge in each level and really have to work together to get through the hordes of enemies. (0 more)

Fun and entertaining co-op multiplayer game
This game is fun and gives a great challenge. You have to work cooperatively to get through the level or you will die. The challenges are not too hard and there are puzzles you have to solve to get bonuses during that round. I would highly recommend this game. Especially if you love the Left 4 Dead series.

This is an incredibly moving piece of fiction that anyone who loves reading owes it to themselves to check out. Telling the story of a young German boy and a young, blind French girl over the course of World War II; Anthony Doerr weaves together themes of the horrors of war, the love of one's family, and the beauty that exists in the world around us and within ourselves. The story moves forward at a quick pace and all of the characters will remain with you long after the story is over. Simply put: this is a beautiful book.
