The Sound Proofing For The House Must Be Amazing
The House Is A Typical Will Ferrel Comedy, And Proves As Usual That He Is The Man Of The House Of Laughter
Me and the wife enjoyed this film, the start was a little slow but once it found its feet it couldnt stop running with comedy.
Will Ferrel & Amy Poehler go together nicely to make the believable couple, and i would love a marriage to be as strong as theirs in this film.
I can tell just how funny this is as we watched it late at night and my wife stayed awake all the way through, a true sign of a good film.

I got halfway through Know your Beholder before I quit. I still wouldn’t be able to tell you what it was about. It’s really too bad, to. I only had one problem with it.
It was like a lot of things happened, but nothing actually happened. There was no plot, just a bunch of events strung together with lyric, hilarious, over thesaurus-ized sentences. The writing itself was great and it was what kept me listening past the first track, but when I was halfway through and I still wasn’t sure what was going on, and I didn’t like the main character any more than I did when it started, I opted to spend my time on something else.

I cry mercy. Love the concept, and the first third or thereabouts was good, but everything after: the barely there plot, the romance, manor life in the English country, pretty much everything, was all dull, dull, dull. I was disappointed in the lack of sci-fi and the history that was only spoken about and never lived through, so it didn't deliver on either account. Sure, the author can string a sentence together, there were a couple of amusing lines, and the Elizabethan English seemed well-done (although I couldn't be further from an expert), but I have a feeling the other books in the series are better. However, if the next one doesn't spark my interest, I'm done.
Kristy H (1252 KP) rated Little Monsters in Books

This was an interesting read that kept me guessing the entire time. I give Thomas points for its twistiness, as it was an engrossing read. These were some very complicated high school kids. I couldn't help but think that that Kacey was a little too involved in wanting to find her friend and that the high school drama seemed incredibly intense, even for the purposes of a novel. Maybe I'm just naive, but these girls were in deep. There is nothing quite so dark, at times, as the friendship of teenage girls.
Overall, I enjoyed trying to piece things together in this story, even if some of the overly dramatic parts turned me off a bit.

I have no words to express how amazing this movie was how it affected me and brought me back to my childhood.
I sat there in the cinema on the edge of my seat smiling and laughing to myself because of how amazing it was.
The one thing I did not expect was that the dad was residing in Pikachu the entire time and he didn't know either. It was nice seeing them spend time together because of how far apart they were in the beginning.
If they ever do a second movie I will be there at the front of the queue ready to buy my ticket.

Ok whodunit comedy
I love a whodunit murder mystery film, serious or comedy. So I was excited when I heard about this Netflix film just a couple of days before it was released. I'm not a big Sandler fan but he has done some funny films. He had good chemistry with Aniston in @Just Go with It (2011) and they work together well in this as well. It was OK especially if you are a fan of the genre. The only down side really most of the best bits are in the trailer. Overall a fun lighthearted comedy with a fair share of funny moments.

This story was very well done. The characters made me like them.. I laughed several times while reading this and it kept me interested enough that I had to keep reading and miss sleep so that I could finish it. I loved that it wasn't an easy love. It had a lot of complex emotions involved in this. The sadness from Brett devastated me.. and then when he started feeling and had no idea what to do with it. JT was just adorable and amazing. He understood.. he accepted. and he made Brett become who he needed to be. They had a rough go but got it together. I really enjoyed this

I have a soft spot for bounty hunters and space. Put those two together and you have a recipe for magic. This novel was exactly up my alley and I loved everything about it. After reading Katherine McIntyres Stolen Petals, I was jonesing for another story similar. This was a perfect match. With a fierce female lead and a deliciously devious male lead, the couple burned up the pages. Its not erotic however, having a plot interesting enough to keep my attention when they werent setting the book on fire.
Overall, the novel reads quick, but it is rather enjoyable. If you like strong female bounty hunters and the men who love them, I recommend it.

Join Princes Fredric, Gustav, Liam, and Duncan as they must ban together to stop an evil witch from taking over their kingdoms. Of course, first, they must learn their own strengths and how to get along with each other.
This book was laugh out loud funny from start to finish with wonderful character growth and an engaging plot. My only complaint is that I didn't read it even sooner. With strong male and female characters, I think both boys and girls will equally love it. And adults will delight in this middle grade fractured fairy tale as well.

Lumos (380 KP) rated Arcadia Quest in Tabletop Games

This is not one of my favorites but, perhaps for a very specific reason. When starting the campaign, we randomly selected the characters we would play and I ended up with three that don't mix together well. I end up using one pretty consistently while the other two almost never move. Normally, I'd say, it's a game and you get what you get and make it work. But the campaign of this game and the long term playing kind of makes this weigh heavily. I know the others I play with love this game and I just cringe when they pull it out. I might enjoy it if I had a better pick of characters to play with.
