A treat for crime fiction lovers
This is a treat for crime fiction lovers with a bit of the supernatural thrown in for good measure. Mr Oswald knows how to write a great story and he has done it once again with "Cold as the Grave".

DCI Tony McLean finds himself, quite unexpectedly, in the midst of a strange and disturbing investigation following his discovery of the mummified remains of a young girl. Being a DCI, Tony is not supposed to get into the day to day investigation of crime however, Tony being Tony just can't help himself and he quickly becomes in the thick of it.

This is a dark and sinister case to investigate and includes themes on refugees, asylum seekers, illegal immigrants, trafficking, modern slavery, the murder of children and violence towards women as well as introducing a less than "normal" slant on the perpetrator of the crime and the method used for committing murder.

With fantastic characters throughout and written in a sympathetic rather than sensationalist way with the back drop of a winter in Edinburgh, this is a great read.

I admit to not having read all the previous books in this series and although I have probably missed out massively on back story, character development, etc., it did not detract from my enjoyment of this book.

On to the next .... when it comes out!

My thanks must go to the Publisher and NetGalley for my copy in return for an unbiased review.

Amazing film!

I loved the whole film, I don't think I've ever laughed and cried that much in one film before!
the only downside for me was the way that Captain America's story arc ended. It seems selfish of him go out like that when he's been so selfless up until now..
I love how Bruce and the hulk finally managed to coexist with each other, it made that character much better!
It is a shame about Iron man but honestly with the way the character began as a playboy who doesn't really care about anything, I think it was the perfect ending for him, to have come full circle and save the entire planet. We love you 3000 Tony! <3

Some Like It Hot (1959)
1959 | Classics, Comedy, Drama
The joy of Some Like It Hot is very simple: Marilyn Monroe as Sugar Kane is so utterly gorgeous you can’t take your eyes off her. Add to that the comic genius of Jack Lemon and Tony Curtis in wigs, and the fun never stops! Pre-empting film style by a whole generation, Billy Wilder gave us a film of such pace and relentless laughs that it always feels about an hour long and is over way too soon. A film with characters so good we want to be with them forever!

Better than Homecoming

This was how a Spider-Man movie with Mysterio should be done. As an avid Spider-Man fan I was not disappointed in this movie like I was with Homecoming. The battle sequences were top notch. The struggles of Peter after the death of Tony was great. They did such a great job of making this fit into the MCU. Mysterio was affected by Tony in a way you don't expect. Even the "love story" angle wasn't overbearing. The love of MJ and Peter. They icing on the cake for me was seeing J.K. Simmons as Jameson once again as he accused Spider Man of murder and exposed secret identity. Yes that is how it ended. I know it's beating a dead horse but the "political correctness" still bothers me but I am so glad Sony and Marvel worked something out for the future of the Spider man franchise
