Set aside some time because the minute you start to read this you won't want to put it down; I read it in one sitting. Grab yourself a box of tissues because you will need them while reading this poignant and at times heartbreaking story. I cannot remember the last time I read a book that touched on so many real life issues and I commend the outstanding job that the author has done here.

Jeremy's Story reads like a true story as we come to completely understand and applaud the portrayal of a fifteen year old teen boy who through no fault of his own has HIV. It is powerfully written and contains beautiful and heart felt characters. The message of acceptance, tolerance and of love that are contained within the pages of this book will forever stay with me and I loudly recommend this book to one and all.

What an amazing book! I was so lost in this story that I read it in one sitting. Emily is a young girl living with her parents in Indonesia and she is miserable living there. One day after an incident at the clinic her parents work at, she decides to get on a ferry and go visit her uncle. Little does she know that the ferry is going to capsize and that she'll be fighting to live.

Fast paced, edge of your seat, heart pounding drama at its best with outstanding characters. This story will stay with me for years to come as it was truly captivating. The author pulled me in from the start and every turn of the page had me feeling like I was in that water swimming for my life. This is truly a gripping and must read book.

I give this book five high heels.

Four and a half Stars

This story, which is based on actual events in the life of the author took me completely by surprise, especially since this genre is not a usual read for me. In this book, Amanda Farmer allows us to bear witness to the joy and struggles she faced growing up as a Mennonite living and working on the family's farm and she also shed light on the beliefs of the Mennonite community.

I am in awe of her because she truly went through so much and was still able to maintain her faith and achieve her dreams while dealing with a domineering father, chores, and studies. It takes a resilient and strong person to overcome the things she faced. The story as it is told flowed smoothly and I often found myself crying. This is a book that everyone should read as I believe it inspires you to truly follow your dreams.
