A wonderful array of short stories set in India
An intriguing network of short stories set in modern India with a backdrop of traditional culture. The stories have a vague link with one another, usually focusing on one particular character's narrative. And the nature of each story varies from magical realism to politics. While there were some stories I liked more than others, the animal cruelty of one specific tale was a little gratuitous to my liking. And while I know this happens in India it didn't seem to go anywhere. Other than that a well written cyclical novel.

Absolutely amazing!
"Spirit Circle" is an amazing manga that pairs characters that are well rounded and have interesting motivations with a story that is genuinely engaging. The main characters Fuuta and Kouko are dynamic and sympathetic, while not overpowering the side characters. Additionally, the manga isn't overstuffed with the traditional tropes that you would expect to find in an adventure. The art is beautiful and fits the mood perfectly.

Overall, it's just an amazing read and I would highly recommend it if you are into a good mystery.

Bow down to the King
The hype for Black Panther has been building for about a year and dear lord they did not disappoint. From start to finish you are drawn in and the movie does not let you go.

For me Michael B Jordan stole the movie for me though he was just spectacular.

The crowning achievement though was the costume designs they were all so breathtakingly gorgeous and you could tell that they were someone who understood the culture, they just seamlessly mixed traditional and futuristic and I AM IN LOVE!

Due to my lack of participation in the dating world, my father decided to purchase this book for me to give me some pointers. Now THIS was hilarious!
Done in the style of the all popular 'LadyBird Book Of' series complete with the traditional artwork and a dash of British humour this is definitely one to pick up. It goes through what you should expect from dating in this day and age in a very honest manner, which is just perfect. It's in your face, it's raw and it's guaranteed to give you a giggle.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
2001 | Adventure, Fantasy
The first - and, for my money, best - of Peter Jackson's now 6-film foray into Middle Earth, that (I'm sure) saw a massive boost to the New Zealand economy where it was filmed!

It's hard to talk about this film nowadays without describing the plot - is there anyone who doesn't know it? - but this is the film that (I believe) sticks closest to the original story, and is very much what I would call 'traditional' High Fantasy (as opposed to 'Urban Fantasy'), with do-good Elves, Dwarves, Rangers, Orcs, Goblins, Cave-Trolls, Hobbits (halflings) ,,,,

And finally,

"Fly, you fools!"

still packs a punch!
