Wow ... that was a fast-paced, non-stop, action-packed read from page 1 and I absolutely devoured it.

The pace is relentless, the characters are strong and likeable and whilst the twists didn't surprise me that much, they didn't take away any of the enjoyment for me.

This is what I would call a traditional cat-and-mouse story, however, it felt up to date and modern with the addition of podcasts which, I think, worked extremely well and introduced a different element and perspective to the story.

Alex Knight is definitely an author I will seek out in the future.

The protagonist of this novel is Gwendolyn, and this novel is told from her perspective. Gwendolyn and her sister Estella are very close,most of the time they share everything, and they are truly best friends. Gwendolyn is a little bit of a rebel in the family, who wants to be independent and stand on her own feet. Estella, on the other hand, followed the traditional path of getting married and allowing her family to manipulate her life. These two sisters are so similar but so different at the same time, and their life stories are truly mesmerising to me. There are a lot of characters in this novel,and I did get a little lost with who was who because I am not very used to the terms such as Oma or Opa.

Same characters in the role

Only half way through Season One at the minute but I'm really enjoying this series.

Every episode is about 30mins long so you can quickly get caught up in what's happening and the episode is over before you know it.

I love seeing the same characters 34 years after the events of Karate Kid. They still have some of the same animosity towards each other which makes me laugh at times. Johnny can't get over the fact he lost to Daniel and Daniel doesn't like Cobra Kai being restarted as a dojo.

I do like Johnny's way of teaching. It's not exactly traditional but it's turning Miguel into a great Karate practitioner and he's standing up to his bullies.

Can't wait to watch more.
