I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Oh, i loved this book. It was so much fun! Basically, a b&b is home to a ghost, some magical sleauthing kitties, and the humans lucky enough to be owned by them. The cats and humans are working separately to solve the case of a man buried behind a wall centuries ago and his buried treasure. This book is precious and i loved reading every minute.

So sweet

I was surprised by how much I liked this book considering I found it recommended on a BookLikes list called Book to Fall in Love With. Most of them have been failures for me but occasionally I've found a hidden treasure like this one.

I was hooked from the first page and read it in one sitting (it's gone 1am) because I couldn't give up on them yet. It made me cry but it turned out so sweet in the end. I loved it.

"I don’t remember the first time I read Goodbye to All That, but I do know that a little part of me thinks of it whenever I turn on the air conditioner. Didion is a big picture writer and a vital writer (On Self-Respect is required reading for any woman, Sentimental Journeys for any person). She’s a national treasure, but for me it’s the image of her taking a messy bite of a peach on the sidewalk that feels like the Didion I know."
