"For some reason. I think the combination of the gruff, tyrannical old man pursuing the unruly, rebellious son really appeals to me. The scenario is, in some odd way, almost as scary as Freddy Krueger, you know! The evil father is an idea that’s really fascinating to me. Hawks is great, The Treasure of Sierra Madre, The Big Sleep… He could do the Salt-of-the-Earth very well. He was a very smooth director; a very good film architect in terms of his storytelling. That’s how he constructed this film, and got so deep into the characters."

"This memoir recounts the time Karen Blixen (a Danish author) spent in Kenya from 1914. When I saw the 1985 movie version with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford, it just killed me and inspired me to read the book. Both make me sob so much I can hardly breathe. Later, my assistant gave me a beautiful old copy, which makes me treasure the story more. I even stayed in the Karen Blixen suite at the Hotel D’Angleterre in her native Copenhagen. The relationship between Blixten and the Safari hunter Denys Finch Hatton broke my heart. It’s a book about finding and losing love"

All About The Stone
Romancing The Stone- is a classic action-adventure film. It has a great cast and director.

The plot: A dowdy romantic-adventure writer is hurled into a real-life adventure in the Colombian jungle in order to save her sister, who will be killed if a treasure map is not delivered to her captors. She is helped out by a brash mercenary, and together they search for the priceless gem located in the map.

Micheal Douglas and Danny DeVito are the best parts of this film. Also Robert Zemeckis directed it. Its a good film.

"With its exquisite packaging, reminiscent of old rock posters with a subtle Hatch Show Print letterpress homage (even using a textured paper), this boxed set is a treasure. I was especially thrilled to find extra footage of songs and bands that were left out of the original film. This footage is a time capsule of California (and American) culture in the sixties, that as a Californian, I find warmly nostalgic. There is so much gritty footage of the crowd, and of the various bands in preparation for the event—it humanizes them and makes these often idolized figures, seem real and accessible."

Nicolas cage's wildest adventures pt 1
Contains spoilers, click to show
The best part of this movie is nicolas cage he steals the show. Also sean bean as the villian and he doesnt die is a sin. Sean bean dies in every single movie he's in. So not letting him die in this film is a sin. Nicolas cage also steals the decloration of indepence at one pont because their is a treasure/map on the back, no biggy, not a problem for nicolas cage.

Whats next steal the statue of liberty, climb on top of the empire state buliding or climb on top of mount rushmore.
