Part of Fated Mates: an MM Paranormal Romance Charity Anthology!

One thing I love about J.P. Sayle stories is that she comes up with different shifters and problems. For instance, in A SCENT LIKE NO OTHER, Pierre is a skunk shifter and has faulty anal glands. Now, hand on heart, I can honestly say I've never read about either of those before. I'm just glad he wasn't called Pepé! 😁

Along with Pierre, we have Eliphas, a mage who works well with his ancestors' crystals, as well as being an amazing tattoo artist, specialising in protection. Pierre knows they are a triad, but it comes as a shock to Eli. This leads to cross-purposes, as Eli isn't sure he'd be happy with a third, not when he has Pierre. But Pierre has always known and, now he's got Eli, he wants to know when they'll meet their third. This leads to Pierre doing a spell without Eli's knowledge, which opens a whole can of worms he wasn't expecting.

A great introduction to these two characters, and I look forward to reading more.

In the second book of the series, we return to the world of the Bloodkin. In this instalment, we meet Warrick, the face of the Triad and one of the 'young' dragons at only one hundred and forty plus years. He is at his mother's home for a wedding in the family and is reunited with 'Sammy', a human child from his past. However, he soon realises that Sammy has grown up into Samantha, and he is all the more interested. The heat gets turned up when threats are made against the family and Samantha's secret is exposed to Warrick's mother, who makes her promise to help him.

This is a fast-paced, well-written book, with a romance that is a slow burner. They actually know each other from the past, but take time to know each in the now before anything happens. The difference between how a dragon thinks and how a human does is clearly demonstrated.

Recommended for all fans of adult dragon stories, with an intriguing world that continues to excite and thrill with each book.

Petrus is the twelfth book in the Fueled by Lust series, and I would certainly recommend you read them in order. Not only will that give you a better understanding of the overall story arc, but you will get to meet the characters in greater detail, helping you to know them more.

Petrus was one of the unfortunate Insedi who had a faulty necklace. This meant that when he kissed Ireland for the first time, nothing happened, much to his distress. Ireland, of course, knows nothing about the Insedi or necklaces, so she wondered what the hell was going on. To try and protect her, Petrus was cruel to be kind, which then backfired when he found out about the faulty necklaces. So now he has to try and coax her back to him.

I love this series, I really do. I have loved each and every one of the Insedi warriors, and this book is no different in that regard. What I didn't love as much were the other men in this. I can sort of understand Ludo, especially once you learn of the near-miss between him and Ireland, although I much preferred Makar and Baruch because they were already a 'couple' (so to speak). It was Damon who didn't do it for me though. I loved how it was written with a human being included into a triad but I would have loved more from him during the book. He was there at the beginning, bam, I love you's to Ireland, but then he disappears until near the end. One evening (or so it seemed) and he's into the triad, now quadrat! And then throw in the BDSM elements that Petrus and Ludo are happy for him to take the lead on... I don't know. It just didn't feel right to me, and I pains me to write that!

There were no errors in this book that disrupted my reading, and I found myself to be just as lost within the Insedi world as ever. It just didn't move in the same way as the previous books have. And Cato is still hands-down my favourite!!!

Would I recommend this book? Absolutely! Because it is part of an amazing world full of interesting and intriguing characters. It isn't just the warriors who will delight you, but their partners too. Trust me, the women are just as badass in their own ways, and Makenna and Ireland's quips and witticisms to each other were fantastic to read. So yes, I recommend it. Just start from the beginning and you will love the Insedi just as much as I do!

Destined Dragons ( New York dragons book 3)
By Terry Bolryder

Roxy is just a normal girl working hard to achieve her dreams. Until she saves someone's life, gets on the news, and winds up kidnapped by a group of mysterious men targeting brave-hearted women. Just when she's about to give up hope, two gorgeous men appear, rescue her and whisk her away to their castle-like mansion to keep her safe. It's all good, until the men claim to be dragon shifters who want her for their mate.

Sterling and Gentry are the powerful leaders of the New York dragons and still looking for the perfect mate. From the moment they meet the brave, independent, and curvy Roxy, they're sure she's the one for them. Now they just have to show her all the reasons she should be the mate of two sexy, capable dragon shifters who live for nothing but to please her, while keeping her safe from the men still stalking her.

But while things quickly get hot between Roxy and her sexy shifters, evil forces are also building to mount an attack. If the dragons want to protect Roxy from the most dangerous foes they've ever faced, they may have to make choices that could lose her forever.

The last of the anew stork dragons! We see the leader pair complete their triad! It was a quick read possibly could have had more depth but Overall it was ok! The series on a whole was good getting to know the dragon higheracy.

Monumental Book but Average Entry
It seems like a normal case. In fact, if it weren’t for the fact that the South LA bureau is too busy, Harry and his partner would never have taken on the case. The owner of a convenience store has been shot and killed. Because the owner is Asian, Bosch quickly calls in the Asian Crime Unit, and the trail seems to lead to the Chinese triad. But that’s when things get personal, and Bosch finds himself heading to Hong Kong on a personal mission. Will he succeed? Will that impact his case at home?

Normally, I love Michael Connelly’s books, but this one felt a bit forced. The initial set up in Los Angeles was good, and as we traveled to Hong Kong, I was all in. Maybe it was the fact that I knew how the portions in Hong Kong would end, but I started to get frustrated there. While I bought the trail that Bosch followed, I felt that Bosch was too over the top in his arrogant behavior. I kept wanting him to slow down and listen to the advice others were giving him. The end of the book contains some twists that I might have bought elsewhere, but here, they felt completely forced into the story. Of course, even subpar Connelly is still worth reading; it just isn’t his strongest. Fans of the series will want to read this one since it will impact Bosch’s life for the rest of the series.

THE STERLING ACQUISITION is the first book in the Manufactured Mates series, and introduces you to a dystopian Omegaverse. Dante works for Gensyn and has gone to the SVI sector, all in the name of corporate espionage. As part of that plan, he meets with Leo, an alpha who is well-known for having a troublesome omega, Orion. Leo is supposed to be his 'in' for the espionage, but instead, Dante becomes obsessed with Orion. What follows is a story of (literally) how one person can change the other.

This was a great, different story that I not only enjoyed but also appreciated. I don't know if I'd survive in that world, especially not in the corporate world, as their corporate-speak left me cold. In fact, I nearly gave up on the story because I didn't like it that much! Stick with it - it gets better, I promise. The corporate-speak is there for a reason, and you will easily see the difference it marks as the story progresses.

Evenly paced and well written, this story hooked me in. The main characters are great, and are also ably supported by side characters, all of whom have hidden depths. Well, most of them. I look forward to returning to this world and seeing more of how the Primal Triad develops.
