A step in the right direction
Honestly, DC did well with this movie. Easily their best movie since the Dark Knight trilogy. You get to see Diana learning about humanity and finding that everything isnt as cut and dry as she learned back home. The supporting cast does a great job to help teach her and bring a bit of comedy to their dire mission.

Incredible.. I've only read one book before I would have considered "dark erotica" but after just finishing Pepper Winters Monsters in the Dark trilogy, my god I want more!? The story of Tess and Q completely messed with my head... the abuse, fear, power... eventually transforming into such love, a bond so tight, not even death could separate them. Beautifully written, I loved the connection & the feeling of true belonging.

This was a book that had me hooked from the first page, I loved the adventure and mystery that unveiled itself. It also gave me in insight into alchemy, something that had not particularly interested me until reading this book... and it definitely helped I’m the lead up to Shadow of Night (the second and my favourite of the All Souls Trilogy).

This was an entertaining riff on Jane Eyre. As with the first book in the 'Lady Janies' trilogy, there are three main characters that cycle through the chapters. I liked that Charlotte Bronte herself was one of the narrators. It followed fairly closely to the original in the beginning, with a few deviations, as would be expected. It was largely predictable, but I didn't mind because I was entertained.

Original and still the best
As good as Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy was, this is still my favourite and Keaton is still the best Dark Knight. Dark and broody and with eyebrows made for the role, Keaton delivers as both Batman and Bruce Wayne while Jack Nicholson hits the perfect balance of menace and camp with his Joker. Ps -Great soundtrack too
PPS - the Batmobile has never looked so cool

I read this on my Kindle, having recently been republished. Not quite sure why it was part of a trilogy marketed as Regency Royal as only the first book was set in the Georgian period - this was much later (early 20th century) and none of the books were related to each other at all. Heroine in this one a bit silly, but still, MC Beaton always gives you a good read.

". . . Speaking of the human soul! This is a film of profound beauty made by a master of cinema, who could go from action-packed samurai epics to this tear-jerking gut-wrencher. This, The Apu Trilogy, and pretty much all of Ozu’s output (man, ten is just too small an amount to list here!) are micro-stories that focus on giant human themes, and I’m so glad they exist!"

"A dice roll—it could have been L’avventura or La notte, but I rewatched this recently and was blown away by Antonioni’s mastery and control, and his epic nihilistic vision of upper-middle-class despair is sweeping and unrivaled. Alain Delon and Monica Vitti are the most gorgeous couple in ’60s international cinema—embalmed and yet completely alive. The trilogy is one of the great achievements in twentieth-century film."
