"This film contains some of my favorite quiet moments in all of cinema, and Kieślowski is a master of using restraint as a means to tell a powerful story. Small moments in a Kieślowski film can often carry the weight and impact of a sledgehammer. Just watch the beginning of Blue and you will see what I mean. And while you’re at it, I recommend checking out the rest of the great Three Colors trilogy."

"The life of every individual, sayeth the sage, runs along the line created by the intersection of two planes: personality and social setting. I can’t think of any American novelist who ever drew that line more brilliantly than James T. Farrell in this trilogy. If this be “plodding realism,” let every American novelist start plodding Studs-style, lest the American novel fall down in a heap and die, as it now seems wont to do."

Well I have to be in the mood to read erotica and it seems I wasn't when I read this.

That's not to say it was bad because it isn't, I just sort of skipped through some bits and read others so that I got the gist but I cant say I got really into it.

Will still buy the third to find out what happens in the end of the trilogy.

I'm at a loss. Once again, I've ridden this roller coaster we call Never Never and, once again, I feel hazy. Silas' and Charlie's story is so riveting and confusing and beautiful. Now that I've finished the second part to this trilogy, I'm struggling not to be completely impatient while waiting for the final piece to this odd story. Colleen and Tarryn make one freaking amazing team and they've blown me away, again!

Hmm...I expected this to end differently but considering it's a trilogy, I guess there wasn't any other way of writing it. Maybe it means that Tyler can clean up his act and make himself a better person for Eden to be with.

I thnk I'm interested enough in Tyler and Eden's romance to read the rest of the series.

P.S. I think Tiffani and Jake are perfect for each other.

Disney's latest (at the time of writing) entry in the Star Wars canon, this is a series of shorts - all about 15, 20 minutes long or so - that primarily follows two Jedi in particular (Dooku and Ahsoka), and so are all set prior to the events of the original trilogy.

Some of the animation is stunning, yes, but it's also the case that some of the shorts are better than others.

Wilder (Birds of a Feather #1) by Lena North
Wilder is the first book in the Birds of a Feather series, and it starts many, MANY years after The Dreughan Trilogy. Wilder has just lost her beloved grandfather and also learns more about her family. Some surprises were in store for her, and she struggles to deal with them all. Funnily enough, the biggest surprise was easy for her. The hardest was dealing with people she thought she knew, and finding out they had a whole other life that didn't involve her. With a whole new family to contend with, plus a love interest, there is a lot going on for Wilder.

First of all, the thing that I ADORED in this book was the appearance of Vilda, Sannah, and Troy! I loved how they made their appearance, and their appearances after. For me, it helped to wrap up their trilogy, and I loved every single time they were mentioned.

There is plenty of action in this story, and it is different from The Dreughan Trilogy. For a start, it is set in a contemporary time, not medieval. A whole new bunch of characters and abilities light the way, giving this series a great introduction in a well written story. There are some editing and grammatical errors, but nothing that spoilt my enjoyment of the story.

A great beginning to the series, and I can't wait to continue. Definitely recommended by me.
