Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2273 KP) rated Blue Sea Burning (The Chronicles of Egg #3) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
The final book in this middle grade trilogy finds Egg struggling to find a way to bring down his arch nemesis, greedy slave trader Roger Pembroke. With pirates, sea battles, and romantic complications, he'll have his hands full trying to do it.
The series goes out with the same fast action and wonderful characters I've been enjoying the entire way through. The humor scattered throughout helps as well. All three books are highly recommended for kids and adults. Just be sure to read them in order.

Caffeinated Fae (464 KP) rated Loved by the Pack (The Wolfpack Trilogy, #3) in Books
Jul 12, 2018
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
I have to say, this final book of the Wolfpack Trilogy really wasn't my style. I enjoyed the story and the plot but I just got disgusted with the sex scenes. Honestly, whenever the sex scenes started my face would just get a permanent "ew" look. <spoiler> Beastiality, knotting, and almost wolf rape etc... </spoiler>
I really did like the premise of the book. The plot was semi unique and there were some things in the book that I wasn't able to predict which was refreshing.
Ultimately, the series was interesting but definitely not my favorite.

Alicia S (193 KP) rated Sweet Ache (Driven, #6) in Books

Another incredible book by one of my favorite authors. Kristy has a way of writing that truly makes you feel as though you KNOW these characters and love them, scars and all. I am HUGE Driven Trilogy fan and this book was a perfect addition.. LOVE Hawke and Quinn and my absolute favorite parts were the moments we got to revisit with Colton, Riley and most of all, special guest appearances from the D-Bags! My all-time favorite rockers hanging out together (love it!). Love the witty banter between Quinn and the guys and Quinn's strength is apparent throughout. Another absolute must-read.... beautifully written story!

Wow! Sylvain Neuvel has done it again! I was so excited when I was approved for this ARC because I absolutely LOVE these books and Only Human is just as magnificent as the first two. I started reading it earlier this afternoon and finished it at a little after 1am; I couldn't sleep without knowing how it ended!
I'll post a longer review closer to the release date, I need a minute to process all my thoughts on this one. Just know that it is an incredible end to an amazing trilogy!
**Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!! All opinions are my own.**

Dean (6927 KP) rated The Girl Who Played with Fire (2009) in Movies

A very good second film in the trilogy. It doesn't quite reach the levels of the first, but that was an outstanding film. Where the first was a bit more dramatic in story along the lines of a whodunit? mystery, this is a bit more like an action/thriller with a conspiracy plot. Lisbeth has been set up as the main suspect in 3 murders and is on the run to prove her innocence. We find out a bit more back story to her character in this which is good to see. I can't wait to see the last one in this set of great thrillers!

David McK (3496 KP) rated Mostly Harmless in Books

The fifth (and final) book in Douglas Adam's <i>Hitch-hikers Guide</i> 'trilogy', this is a book that I have read many feel should never have been written.
This is a lot more serious than the previous novels, with the overall tone a lot darker than before: for example (and very early on) Arthur Dent is back to wandering the universe, after having the love of his life whisked away from him while traveling through Hyperspace while, in an alternate reality, Tricia ('Trillian') McMillan regrets not going off with Zaphod Beeblebrox. I have to say, as well, the novel also ends on rather a down-beat note!

A rhr and book 1 of shifter mates trilogy
Astrid is a fox shifter who finds herself fighting to claim her wolf mate from a black magic witch!
She becomes conflicted when her feelings for another fox shifter collide with her feelings for her wolf.
This is the second series of Crystals you I'm reading. They are shortish books and I tend to get them done in 24/48 hours.
I'm enjoying Crystal Ash Her books flow well and keep you interested. I'm left wanting not after this one I'm looking forward to seeing it develop. I like her use of different shifters. Her characters are interesting.

This trilogy was a delight for me. I read a lot of fantasy sagas, so it's fairly unusual now to find something refreshingly different but these managed it.
Almost none of the characters are actually likeable, and yet it's impossible not to get drawn into the world they inhabit. There are times where you think it's collapsing into the same old stories, but the author manages to surprise far more often than not.
Really worth a read; I found them difficult to put down, and just a really enjoyable read.
