Captain Ingram's Inheritance follows on from the two previous stories in this trilogy, Miss Jacobson's Journey and Lord Roworth's Reward. They are Regency romances in the traditional vein, but a bit more tongue in cheek than someone like Georgette Heyer. The best comparison would probably be with some of the Regency stories written by MC Beaton - if you like them, you'll love these.

English readers may know Carola Dunn from her Daisy Dalrymple books, but she is originally English and has written a fair number of regencies. It looks like most have only been published in the US, although they are available on Amazon as Kindle editions.

The three books are very much related and should be read in order to give you the bigger picture; this book and the previous volume very much cross over, almost like one story.

The second Book in the Trilogy The Novice was published in 2002 and is followed by The Black Magician (2003). the continuing story follows Sonea through entering the guild and after experiencing abuse from her fellow students and having her guardianship changed from Rothen to the High Lord Akkarin. After beating a bully in a duel, Sonea is faced with an unknowing future under her serious and strange guardian.

I loved the second book especially How Sonea dealt with the class abuse form the other students and the threat of the high lord Akkarin after he finds out she knows his dirty little secret. And I especially loved Sonea defeating her bully in a duel showing both the bully and the guild she wasn't to be messed with especially since she took a lot of hell from most if not all of them.

Remember Leonardo di Caprio from Titanic?

He's virtually unrecognizable here.

Mind-bending action/adventure by Christopher Nolan - who directed The Dark Knight trilogy - following a team of crooks who specialise in extracting information from their targets subconscious whilst said target is asleep.

When a job goes wrong, Cobb (di Caprio) is thrown a lifeline by his target (Ken Watanabe): rather than stealing information, he wants him to implant an idea in another persons subconscious i.e. Inception.

With a quite impressive cast list - Leonardo di Caprio, Tom Hardy, Ken Watanabe, that-now-grown-up-kid-from-Third-Rock-From-The-Sun (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and Cillian Murphy, this might take a while to get going but is undeniably visually impressive once it does!
