"This is Terry Gilliam’s classic—his best film. The music, the visuals, the fantasy, the dark surrealism. It all works to make a haunting masterpiece. A bit of trivia: the hero’s boss, H. Kurtzman, is named after Harvey Kurtzman, the originator of Mad magazine, and Terry’s boss at Help magazine."

Fun and great for trivia
I won an IOS App Store Voucher on a Smashbomb giveaway and I purchased the ultimate version of this app using this voucher. I also bought the extra question packs to make it a little more challenging.

I’m a sucker for quizzes and trivia. I love being able to prove my knowledge on topics (or for the most part proving how bad my general knowledge is!) and I can spend hours playing standard and app trivia games. The Chase is one of the better quiz shows on tv at the moment, and my family have quite a soft spot for it. Whenever I go round to my mums, we always have to take time out to watch it and usually end up shouting at the contestants for taking the lower offer...

The app does well to recreate the show. It’s always going to be difficult to exactly copy a quiz show that’s reliant on contestants knowing the answers in some of the rounds, but the app recreates these by giving you multiple choice. Whilst this should make it slightly easier, this isn’t always the case. The chase portion of the show itself is identical to the tv version and is done very well. It’s a very fun game to play, the only downside is that if you play it quite often or a lot, it doesn’t take long for some of the questions to seem familiar and repeat themselves, and it becomes less of a test of what you know, more what you can remember when you’ve answered the question before! But this is a fairly standard problem with all sorts of trivia games.

I loved this book, but then again I am a dork when it comes it useless trivia. Let me tell you this book is FULL of it!
It is not a book you would typically sit down & read cover to cover (unless you're a trivia buff like me of course!) It is designed similar to an encyclopedia. The countries of the world are listed in alphabetical order & there are strange facts about each country. The listing for each country also lists how to say hello & good-bye in the native language, World Heritage Sites, etc. There is a map at the back too which shows you where the countries are located.
All in all it was an enjoyable, fascinating read, though I doubt it would be something everyone could really sink their teeth into.

Maybe think about creating a section for trivia. Could do a lot with this. It would be fun if I could create a list or a question and then hide the answer similar to the way you hide spoilers in your review. That way you could answer without everyone else seeing it.

Could do contests and all sorts of stuff.

I really enjoy the way they talk about games.
This podcast isn't epic, but it does feel like friends you would have talking about games, they have foibles and aren't always polished but that adds to the genuineness of it. They obviously love to play games and all different kinds. They tend to focus on family and midweight games, but sometimes dabble in the heavy as well and obscure trivia. They added a new member when Whoop Whoop team droop left. Too early to judge how he fits in with the crowd, but he's been a friend for years so probably gonna be just fine. Give it a listen and once you get past the opening trivia, the game conversation usually starts. Usually.

This is one of the top 5 podcasts about board games out there.

The Logo Board Game

A very fun game
The name itself, "The Logo Game", is a little bit misleading and actually does itself a disservice, as it's so much more than just logos.

It's a fun, fairly quick trivia game testing your knowledge on not just logos but also brands, products and ingredients. It's a great game either to play with just 2 players or to play with multiple teams and fortunately isn't anywhere near as long to play as something like Trivial Pursuit. My main criticism though is some of the questions are very age limited. I'm not particularly young and living in a television age, I feel I know quite a few brands and products. However some of the questions and brands mentioned I am completely clueless on and only seem suitable for someone around my mum's age. It's a lot difficult to know brands from before your time than it is to know general knowledge trivia.

I must have seen the movie or heard enough about it that I thought I read the book years ago. It turns out that I didn't.

The book was a very easy and fast read. Ignore the fact it took me a month to read it. It really only took 2 hours to read and was just very spread out and life and other books got in the way.

Give it a read and see what you think. If nothing else, it will help in trivia games.
