Underdeveloped True Crime Story
Unlike a lot of the episodic true crime stories that have been on Netflix recently this one takes a one off 91 minute movie approach which leaves you wanting for more details and info. Although going for a whole full series would probably be pushing it, I really feel this story needed a bit more development. A mini series would've been preferable to the too rapid rattling through of a series of hard to believe events.

It’s pretty much all told via interviews with Jan (the victim) and her family with little from other sources. Considering most of it comes from their lips and a lot sounds incredibly naive (even for 1970s) it has a very hard to believe feel to it. Needed a lot of development on some points barely mentioned.

Oh my goodness! What an amazing book & knowing that it is all true just makes it that much more fascinating. This family is amazing & their story could inspire anyone to want to give it all they've got.
As a teacher who is continually put under more & more pressure to get my students to pass a test, this book was heart warming. It speaks to the true heart of teaching & learning. The theme of the book is to set a high ceiling for anyone & let their passions direct them. If & when this is done, you will marvel at the results. This is sooooo true!! I've been privileged enough to see this within in my own classroom. It just leaves me wondering what kind of "genius" all this emphasis on "high stakes" testing is stifling within our society at this very moment... What a shame!

Story times!
Lore narrated by Aaron Mahnke is awesome. With a book series, an Amazon video series and this podcast Aaron has a voice that adds an extra creep factor to the scary stories based in true life he tells. At times, I get goosebumps listening to the history and folklore surrounding places and things of the past. A must hear episode is episode 15: Unboxed. The story of Robert the Doll, who inspired the Chucky series and his original owner of the same name, is one of the creepiest. This story of inspired me to drag three other unknowing adults through a museum in Key West. Be sure no pictures exist of this venture.

The story of young Veda Sultanfuss (Chlumsky) who is coming of age during the summer goes through a ton of mixed feelings and emotions with her friend Thomas (Caulkin) in this coming of age story. Harry Sultenfuss (Aykryod) owns and runs a funeral parlor and is still morning his wife finds a new love interest in Shelly (Curtis) and Shelly has try try to win over Veda and try to act like her mom. This a true family story and one to not watch alone.

This movie has one of the saddest endings of all time and I can't watch it with out balling my eyes each and every time.

Fantastic world/concept
Beautiful
True story telling, beautifully written. I was led through the story like a dream, completely immersed. I couldn't put it down. The writing is fantastic, I don't remember the text ever really explaining the concepts of the books (e.g. by characters explaining them) but somehow I found myself truely understanding it.

Plus the concept and fantasy world being is beautifully captivating.

This us how you write LGBTQ+ literature, no tokenism just pure story. I love the romance and felt everything I think the author entailed.

I would highly recommend this to all fantasy lovers - so glad I picked this up randomly in the library. This NEEDS to be talked about more!
