If you haven't read this yet....why?
This book is literally the most magical journey ever. No, it is probably not the best book ever written. Yes, it was written for children. Given these facts you should still give it the chance to to win your heart because the lessons of friendship, bravery and true heroism surpass the age group it was written for. The following books include acts of literary justice that are truly moving and teach that standing up for what is right, even in the face of danger or at the risk of one'e own life, is the most important thing.

I'm currently pregnant with my first child and so I have no experience with children yet, because of this I thought this book may help. I just can't put my finger on why in some areas this book just wound me up. It took me quite a while to get through as reading it felt very heavy...like being a parent is a massive chore and you'll have nothing but problems. Perhaps this was a bit too one sided for me, however, there are some great pointers in here so it wasn't a complete waste of time. I'll be sticking to her true life stories in the future.

2018 | Drama
Green Book. It breaks my heart that such a book ever had to be printed, as it was a list of safe places for African-Americans to stay and eat at while vacationing. The movie takes us on the true story road trip of Dr. Don Shirley, a world class pianist, who hires a Tony Lip to be his driver and bodyguard while touring in the south in the early 1960's. The movie drives us through the racial tensions of the time which leads to some tense situations, but we also get plenty of laughs watching the making of a life long friendship between Doc and Tony.

William Peter Blatty created an iconic novel that focuses on Regan, the eleven-year-old daughter of a movie actress residing in Washington, D.C. A small group of overwhelmed yet determined individuals must rescue Regan from her unspeakable fate, and the drama that ensues is gripping and unfailingly terrifying.

Been years since I first read this book! Still scared the life out of me. A few times I've done a Joey and put it in the freezer. I keep expecting to find my 6 year old with a spinning head and vomitting green crap. I love the writing it's a true classic horror story.
