This series was incredible. The cast was phenomenal and it all being based on a true story was what really made it worth watching. I wasn't alive when Waco happened. I have never really known much about the situation so to watch this and not only learn but to see what happened? It was amazing. I definitely recommend watching this series!

"Inspired by true events, Lies That Blind is a story featuring historical character Francis Light (1740-1794) who, in an effort to defy his mortality, was seemingly willing to put the lives and livelihoods of a thousand souls on Penang at risk."

Good morning, wonderful people! It's true that the most important things in a story are often the ones that aren't quite said outright, the silences and spaces where the reader's own understanding gets to do some of the work. That's usually where the real feeling lives.

Have a Thoughtful Thursday. Take care and stay safe. đź’™

THE BEST NEW TRUE CRIME STORIES: CRIMES OF PASSION, OBSESSION & REVENGE is an eclectic mix of stories from all over the world, set in different times, from Victorian England to Japan, to modern-day America.

If you like True Crime then I am sure you will find something to keep your interest. It is clear from the start that a lot of research has gone into these stories, some of which have personal memories from the author. However, some of the stories felt disjointed in the way they were presented, going off on tangents that didn't seem relevant to the story at that point.

Each story features the bare bones of the story; being a collection, there simply isn't room for much more. However, it gives you the story, some build-up, and some information after the crime.

On the whole, this was an enjoyable read by a new-to-me author.

This book is incredibly thick and took a long time to read; and was worth every second. This incredible story, steeped in fact, is engaging, exhilarating and heart wrenching. The characters are defined, realistic and believable, as are the circumstances of their lives and situations. To be able to immerse ourselves in what happens to these kids in countries where terrorist groups abound and are as well known as the locals is amazing and important. This “true story”, which reads like a novel, is timely, smart and a must read!

This book is about Friendship. You also learn about ranching in that time. It about Luke and Ray and North Flat Ranch. There some Historical in the book.

It based on a true story with some fiction in it. I completley story. You learn somewhat what to do when in a thunderstorm. Though most of this book is about cattles and the lives of Luke McKeever and Ray. I really enjoyed this book and I was really would recommend it if you you enjoy Cowboys or Ranching and a bit of History.
