Ross (3284 KP) rated Preacher: Book 1 in Books

Twisted, dark humour
The first volume of Preacher sees Jesse Custer quickly on the run after receiving Genesis (and his church exploding) - in fact, most of the first series of the TV adaption takes place within the first few pages, with a much-expanded look at the life of jaded reverend Custer in the small Texas town of Annville.
The story from there on is mad, twisted, dark and funny and includes so many oddball characters.

Lumos (380 KP) rated The Hangman's Daughter in Books

Dark and twisted! There were so many plot twists and cliff hangers from chapter to chapter. I couldn't put the book down. Oliver Pötzsch kept me guessing all the way until the end.
