Well only tried this out as recognised the actress who plays Tiggs was popular on UK TV. It's a very low budget film. Set in an advanced facility with advanced Ai and augmented reality specs. It's all a bit vague as to why the kids are there, what they are learning. Very quickly turns into people just running down dark corridors, air vents trying to escape the evil kids. A poor ending which was quite predictable caps it off.

This is the second book I've read by Jane Corry.

I liked the first one, My Husband’s Wife, and I liked this one just as much.

The story is told between two timelines, 2001 and 2016 which can be confusing sometimes but it worked really well in this case.

Fantastic characters, including Kitty and Alison, two sisters with very different personalities; Fascinating plot with unpredictable twists. Very engrossing story!

I am looking forward to Jane Corry’s next release.

Thanks NetGalley and Penguin UK – Michael Joseph for the opportunity to read and review this fantastic novel.

Political, but also enjoyable
As someone who does not live in the US, and without access to cable, I don't get to watch The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. I am insanely grateful for this podcast. Trevor Noah came to my attention some time ago as a guest on a panel show some time ago, I find him a refreshing person to listen to. The podcast is predominantly focussed on US politics, but I get to hear about things that don't necessarily make it into UK news.

Hosted by Irish comedian, Jason Byrne, this new gameshow brings the fun back to the streets. The gameshow, based on an original Spanish format, challenges people to bring back the answer to a question, but not to say it, in return for Jason's cash prizes. Filmed across the UK including - Belfast, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Weston-Super-Mare and Whitby - each unpredictable episode will see Jason pitch up in search of willing participants who, in turn, go off in search of items that are the answer to Jason's questions.

I am little late, to put it mildly, with reading this book but better late than never I always say!

What a good read and one I'm pleased I didn't miss. Full of twists and turns, excellent characters, gripping story and a great writing style this is a great debut and one I would recommend to the few people out there who, like me, are a bit late joining the party!

Thanks go to Little, Brown Book Group UK via NetGalley for my copy in return for an honest review.

Return of the Dragon
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a beautifully and graphically overhauled remastering of the childhood classic.
Each level remained the same as the original games, including locations of enemies and items.

receiving favorable reviews, The game reached top place in the UK on all consoles in its first week.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is an mesmerizing blast from the past, offering up a taste of late 90s/eary 2000's nostalgia to a whole new generation and a trip down memory lane for the rest of us.

"When I was starting to think about making my own films, it was always Lynne Ramsay who I would turn to. I think she is an incredible filmmaker and one of the greatest we’ve ever had in the UK. I would watch this film endlessly, amazed by the composition, the sound design, the naturalistic acting. It is also beautifully emotional. I still put it on in the background when I write, in the hope of some inspiration. I met her briefly at an awards party last year, and I was stupidly overexcited."

"I can only thank the irresponsible video store worker who rented this film out to my little cousin and me when we were about thirteen (it was issued an 18 certificate in the UK). The uncut, brutal attack on Murphy and his unfolding semiconscious robot revenge stick with you for life. The ultraviolence is almost funny in parts, because Verhoeven manages these over-the-top scenes so expertly. And if you haven’t tried to down a whole can of Coke and burp “twenty seconds to comply!” then you haven’t been to my high school, pal. "

Sometimes it just all comes together for a singer and a song. Evangeline reminds us of Ark, with a similar feel for catchy harmonies and a gorgeous voice, but the guitar pocket here is very old-school, and it sounds like a mix by Daniel Lanois. It just all melts together like a plastic toy in the sun.

Some really deep and percussive bass synth keeps this one right on the money.

Lydia Evangeline is based in Brighton, UK, you might know her as half of acoustic rock duo Wayward Daughter.
