The term “Video Nasty” is a term you used to hear a lot on the 80s, The Mountain of the Cannibal God (aka Slave of the Cannibal God – La montagna del dio cannibale), released in 1978, is one of the many titles that was given the title and was subsequently banned in the UK until 2001. The Mountain of the Cannibal God has now found its way on to Blu-ray with a 2k restoration to bring the horror to a new generation of horror fans in the UK.

The blu-ray starts with an introduction about the movie from director, Sergio Martino, and a text screen explaining, “this Shameless rebuild reinstates the long-missing original dramatic gore and the complete extended orgiastic pandemonium, yet despite very best efforts the quality of a few reinserted scenes will vary“.

I started this book with high expectations given all the hype that has preceded it and, overall, I wasn't disappointed and I want to thank Netgalley and the publisher, Random House UK/Transworld Publishing, for my copy in return for an unbiased review.

You can read my review here http://readingstuffnthings.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/before-i-go-to-sleep-by-s-j-watson.html, thank you.

Classic Christie
One of the best Agatha Christie films to be made! Featuring an all star cast this is a timeless classic that has inspired many other films, Identity and House on Haunted hill spring to mind. If you like a good murder mystery or are a fan of Agatha Christie check this out, now known in the UK as And then there were none.

Felt a couple of episodes too long (0 more)
A great thriller set in Hong Kong as a Husband from the UK uncovers mysterious facts around the death of his wife. It starts well and the first few episodes have some great twists and turns. Unfortunately it loses momentum around the last few episodes. It features a great cast and some great locations around Hong Kong.

Could have more avaliable. (0 more)
Could have all films avalible on all versions. I have UK and it doesn't show every film on it, just those in my region and I'm missing out on some great films if Pinterest and tumblr is to be believed.
Other than that, it is a great thing to have when wanting to stream you fab shows.

Wasn't what I expected
It was a very interesting take on the world war two era, very politically based but an interesting insight on how the UK handled those troubling times. I enjoyed it profusely, it was almost a documentary film if it hasn't already been categorised as one. Definitely worth the watch!

Coogan & Reilly disappear into Laurel & Hardy in the gentle biopic Stan & Ollie (2019)
Focussing in on the twilight of their illustrious careers, “Stan & Ollie” pays tribute to the beloved entertainers by taking an affectionate and bittersweet look behind the scenes at their last great collaboration: a music hall tour of the UK while trying to pull together one last motion picture deal.
