The Paranormal world finally became known to the 'normal' world 30 plus years previously and now humans and 'others' mingle. This is apparent as this story starts, with a wedding. The guests include both 'other' and human, in this case, Abigail who is human and is there because she has made friends with the bride and groom through her cake shop.

Gerrod is the Mastyr Vampire in charge of that part of the realm. He feels a great responsibility to the people in his care and therefore doesn't spend much time smiling or laughing. Abigail sees how much pressure he is under and wants to help. This sets off a chain of events that leads to a decision that Abigail needs to make.

There is a lot of information in this novella but it is easily absorbed and thoroughly enjoyable. This is the start of a series that I can't wait to read more of.

I honestly wasn't expecting a whole lot from Night Teeth, so I was suitably surprised by just how tight and entertaining it turned out to be.
Jorge Lendeborg Jr. is a charming and likable protagonist and a hero that's easy to root for, as is Debby Ryan. The two of them have great chemistry and carry the bulk of the film well. Lucy Fry and Alfie Allen are convincing in the more villanous roles, and smaller appearances by the likes of Sydney Sweeney, Megan Fox, and Alexander Ludwig ensure that the overall cast is a strong one.
The pacing is snappy and never gets boring, and the narrative is one that handles its multiple threads nicely, and avoids bogging down the plot with too much lore building.
Another plus is how visually pleasing the whole thing is. Night Teeth is draped with striking colour, sticking out against its night time LA backdrop.

It's certainly not without it's flaws - some of the dialogue doesn't land well, and the CGI, although minimal, is glaringly shit in places, but it's not enough to tarnish an entertaining vampire flick, that's often funny, and easy on the eyes.

The Truth shall set you Fret!
<2022 update>
Still as good as ever!

<original review below>

So, over the weekend I watched a BBC documentary about the late, great, Sir Terry Pratchett (Terry Pratchett: Back in Black) as part of which they brought up the fact that his earliest job had been as a reporter for his local paper (and saw his first corpse a few hours later, work experience meaning something in those days ...) .

Experience that shows in this novel.

The second of the so-called Industrial Revolutions (after Moving Pictures) sub-series of the Discworld novels, this is - IMO - the first to really get into the meat of said revolution, and concerns itself with Ankh-Morporks first newspaper, alongside a plot to depose the Patrician - a character, I feel, who (whilst mostly in the background in the earlier novels) comes more to the fore in this, as do the likes of Foul Ol' Ron, Coffin Henry, The Duck Man and Gaspode

Of course, it wouldn't be a Pratchett novel without a generous portion of puns running alongside the satire, parody and memorable characters (such as, say, Otto von Chriek: the vampire with a thing for flash photography ...)

Witch’s Storm ( The Bone Coven Chronicles #2)
By Jenna Wolfhart
⭐️⭐️

As a new Enforcer for the Bone Coven, I protect humans from supernatural assaults with the help of my sexy half-warlock, half-vampire partner. But when my latest investigation reveals a string of gruesome mage deaths, it seems there's a serial killer targeting us instead of them.

To make matters worse, demons immune to my coven's spells are now prowling the city streets hunting for prey. Their strength is growing, and they have their sights set on destroying the veil that protects our realm from theirs.

There's only one way to stop the killer and banish the demons once and for all. I must finally give into the dark magic that simmers deep within me, threatening to destroy my soul.

But will the world survive if I do?

This was not a book I enjoyed and I really hate giving 1 stars. It was badly written in place and repetitive the tension between the two main characters was strange. I just couldn’t get on with it. The characters and storyline became annoying. And what the hell is slayervill
