I recently had the opportunity to do some editing on this book and here are my thoughts on it:

If you are looking for a wickedly sexy paranormal romance read with lycans, vampires and even a witch or two then look no further. Julia and Seth will captivate and tantalize all of your senses as you can feel their chemistry jump right off the pages. I was immediately tangled up in the steamy web that the author weaved. The story line is well developed and all the characters are strong and full of individual characteristics. You will quickly find yourself choosing a side to root for and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book.

this book was very mediocre.

there were several stories. the one by Meg Cabot was poorly writen and stupid.

the one by Lauren Myracle made me angry.

Kim Harrison didn't finish her story. when i finally found the novel that finished it, it was dumb, and she didn't hardly explain anything, so i didn't like it much.

Michelle Jaffe's characters were sketchy and i never connected with them. bleah.

Stephenie Meyer... well, let's just say, she should stick to vampires and mind-controlling aliens.

all in all, i read this book on a vote (and did a riddle on it, also on a vote) and didn't really enjoy it. waste of ten bucks. don't bother.

I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I started this novel. I haven’t been reading vampire novels recently simply because of how overdone and cliché they have become. However, this novel is so much more. Vampires may be listed in the synopsis, but they are only a small part of the story.

It’s hard to pinpoint what makes this novel so enjoyable. The only complaint I have is how short it is. If I didn’t know this was part of series, I would be heartbroken. Filled with interesting character leads by powerfully inspiring females, Steel Victory has a storyline that is a joy to watch enfold. I am already looking at book #2.

This was a very quick, easy-to-read story that crossed over a lot of different genres. Not to be taken seriously as the author has mentioned, it's still enjoyabale. I feel like Jade Cooper has a lot of potential with her storytelling; however, there were a lot of grammar errors in the copy I was given. I also saw elements of fanfiction (which isn't surprising given that it features werewolves and vampires with some erotica mixed in.) I would recommend this to mature adults who need a fast novella to get out of a reading slump.

*Although I did receive this book for free through Goodreads First Reads, all of my thoughts and opinions are my own.
