Dont steal A Vampires Spider
I first read this as a teenager 17 years later I'm still re reading this series.
Darren Shan is the master of horror in the Ya field.
I have had the pleasure of meeting him numerous times and he is honestly one of the most kindness politest and nicest people I've had the pleasure to meet.

In Cirque Du Freak we meet Darren Shan a young boy who love of spiders gets him in a bit of trouble when he goes to a travelling carnival after that we meets some great mystical and mythological characters one of which being Larten Crepsley the owner of said spider who happens to be a vampire.

Come out, Neville!
I Am Legend is an influential horror novel that despite being written in 1954 still holds up today.

Neville is the only survivor of a disease that turns people into howling vampires that gather outside his house every night to try and break in or lure him out. During the day he scavenges for supplies and tries to hunt his friends and neighbours and kill them while they're sleeping. Then before the sun sets he must barricade himself into his home to try and survive one more night.

In equal parts horrifying and heartbreaking, this fresh take on the vampire novel is one to read.

I enjoyed Sex and the Single Vampire much more than A Girl's Guide to Vampires. Allie was a refreshing change from Katie MacAlister's usual heroines - she was smart, not hyperactive, and an interesting person. And of course Christian was just as intriguing as he was in the previous book of the series; he made the perfect hero ('nuff said). The plot was very well-done, as was the pace. Unfortunately, Roxy was still an annoying, hyperactive puppy, but at least she wasn't in this book as much. The only reason I'm not giving this a five, is that I'm not quite sure if it's a keeper or not. Still, I think I'll hold on to it for a little longer.

30 Days of Night (2007)
30 Days of Night (2007)
2007 | Horror, Mystery
A brilliant vampiric horror with a rather neat twist. Set in the bleak and unforgiving landscape of Iceland, this film sees murderous vampires attack a sleepy town during a time when the sun disappears for an entire month. Just think about that for a second, their bombardment wouldn’t stop for a whole 30 days. Eurgh, it’s not worth thinking about.

Creepy, beautifully filmed and genuinely terrifying, 30 Days of Night also features a great performance by Josh Hartnett (whatever happened to him?). It’s an intriguing take on a horror genre that has been done to death and is well worth a watch. If you’re up for a horror movie of course.

This might be one of the best vampire books I have read. The story behind it is different than any other vampire books I've read before.
When you combine vampires and humans with superpower abilities - you get the hybrids that are in this book.

There are six ''brothers'' who are vampire hybrids and they all have different abilities.
This book focuses on Blaze, who went through seven months of hell.
His tattoos can't cover the scars he will have for life. But meeting the love of his life might make his burden weigh less - or will it?

This is a story that will bring you on the edge and make you bite your nails constantly - but it's definitely worth reading it!

Rhage and Mary's story!!
Rhage is different from the other brothers, also known as "Hollywood" for his good looks, but his interest is mostly in killing members of the Lessening Society and being with his brothers.
JR Ward has a way of making you fall in love with each character (one at a time) and feeling a part of their story as it develops. Yes this could be considered a romance to some extent but that isn't what this really is in my opinion. The Black Dagger Brotherhood series is a highly addictive series of books with Vampires, action, enemies and the love interest although engaging is a side line to the main story. If you enjoy Vampire books then these are a must read!
