Visually impressive film
A great entertaining film, with plenty of action and a very impressive visual style similar to Sin City. Although the fights are great and very violent the use of CGI blood effects gave it quite a comic book feel and help tone the gore side down a bit. The story is very simple and to the point, not a deep film it is all about the battles and the visuals. Great if you liked Troy, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven but some viewers might want a bit more story to break up all the action. However it's definitely worth experiencing!

Pre-Victorian London has never looked so beautifully squalid! (4 more)
Tom Hardy unsurprisingly excels in the powerful lead role of a violent low-lifer
Genuinely fascinating insight into the broad history of the time
Strong performances all-round
An almost monochrome visual that transforms you to a dark place you're glad you can leave at the end of each episode!
A bit of a slow burner - you don't mind leaving the room for a few minutes knowing you probably wont miss that much (1 more)
A few (undeliberate?) loose ends, but maybe saved for Season 2?

An blend of old fashioned fun and the modern FPS
This is definitely one of the best shooters that I’ve played in a long time. The pace is swift and the action is intense, the classic gore and horror elements are present but not too in your face like Doom 3 and the whole thing just drips with badassery. Don’t go in deserving a masterclass in storytelling or you will be disappointed, but if all you want is responsive, fun FPS gameplay and a quick fix of adrenaline then this was made for you.

Slick cinematography, dark tales
This film's graphic novel style cinematography is original, effective and beautiful to behold. The black and white effect with certain colours highlighted reminded me of looking at old style comics. The multiple stories that mesh together are all extremely dark, from serial murders to molestation and exploitation, it's Rated R for a very good reason. And while the Tarantino style gore can be surprisingly easy on the eye especially in black and white, it seemed extreme at times, filmed for the sake of being violent.

Enjoyable Read
I really enjoyed this. It was different, exciting and freaky. The characters were great and it had enough violence to keep me entertained :-) Great book. Personally I would have picked Stalker as the love interest because he's so similar to Deuce and they just 'fit' for me. If I had any faults I would say that it isn't suitable for young adults, as it is very violent and hints on themes that aren't really suitable for that age group. I've just finished the second one and loved it! Bring on the Horde :) So far a great trilogy.

This is a very good enjoyable , but simple film, even for a action film the plot couldn't be more straight forward. Yes this is far more violent, bloody and gory than the previous three. Done very realistically as well similar to the scenes on the beach in saving private ryan. A brutal bloody film and entertaining as a modern day action film. Despite his years Stallone's character is believable in this and he doesn't over do any stunts, action unlike some of the other Rambo films. Well worth seeing if you have seen the others or not.

An apocalyptic world with the last of humanity riding a super train through a frozen wasteland. The passengers are thrown into a caste system where the poor ride the back of the train in filth and squalor while the rich live a happy well fed life at the front. Now it's up to Chris Evans to lead his gang of poor outcasts to the front of the train fighting their way through carriages of violent surprises and deadly passengers on the way. This is a thriller you'll want to watch again and again until theres' no nails left for you to bite.

Good UK Gangster Film
A very good low budget crime drama. Set in Liverpool it shows the criminal underworld as the local gangsters try to out do each other and make a name for themselves. Very brutally violent at times, this is a good little known film that seemed to go straight to DVD. Most of the cast will be familiar to UK audiences, some of which who do very well here with their performances. The story is good and keeps you guessing who will double cross who in the name of greed. Kinda like an English version of Goodfellas crossed with Heat!

A stunningly beautiful film, every frame is a painting, but also a stunningly violent film. RYAN GOSLING does his usual 10 words a picture when he works with director NICOLAS WINDING REFN and the story is WAY better than their last collaboration 'Drive'. Performance wise it is KRISTIN SCOTT THOMAS that own this picture. Talk about domineering. Must also give mad props to cinematographer LARRY SMITH who made everything and I do mean everything so damn beautiful. He may be the only person to get an Oscar nomination from this and he deserves not only the nomination, but the win.
