BRAIDED DIMENSIONS is the first book in the series of the same name. We meet Kay, an ex-professor now working in a job she dislikes. She is a loner and drifting. One Halloween, she goes out and enjoys herself. When she decides to have her own garden patch, she meets the same people and now has her own little group. On her way home from the Halloween night out, something strange happens to her, leading her down a rabbit hole into ancient Wales.
One thing I need to mention first... it is SO good to read something set in Wales rather than Ireland! I have nothing against Ireland, but there are other Celtic countries out there, although you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise.
This was an enjoyable story that took place both in the present and the past. I love the group of friends Kay has. It is full of paganism and mysticism, although written as both specialised and general day-to-day knowledge. The blending of the two lives is well-written, giving the reader Kay's sense of confusion as she tries to understand what is happening.
This is definitely a series so be prepared to be left with questions at the end, which will leave you wanting more.

One thing I need to mention first... it is SO good to read something set in Wales rather than Ireland! I have nothing against Ireland, but there are other Celtic countries out there, although you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise.

This book introduces the world to DC Fiona (Fi) Griffiths. She is by no means a normal "copper" from Wales. From the start of the book the reader is given the impression that something is just off with Fi. It's not easy to put a finger on at first. She does her job well, with the occasional jaunt outside of police procedure but yet she somehow still manages to get results. Fi is an interesting female lead without being typecast. The ending of the book is in a good place & without a doubt left me wanting to know more...see what happens to her next. I look forward to the next installment. It was a bit predictable at times but not too much so.

This is a story about a British soldier and an Indian woman. We learn a bit of history while during the book. I enjoyed how life was after Fort William went down.
It about a forgiving of what happen to an Indian woman who has twins and one is taken. One twin is white while the other is brown. So a soldier takes the white baby. He seems to not want to upset his wife and tell her baby had died.
Anna makes a friendship with Two hawks when her brother goes to college in Wales. What will happen to Anna when she finds out the truth about her. What will happen when her brother William finds out. What will happen when William finds out.
