Hmmm a 12 rated "Horror" film?! Yep it doesn't really work, the only scares are predictable jumpy loud noise moments and spooky imagery. It has quite a dark story behind it though, it's just unfortunate that there is a real lack of dialogue with long quiet sections of Daniel Radcliffe walking round a creepy house. The production design is excellent though which adds to the right atmosphere, just not that scary for grown ups.

This book was magnificent. It's kind of like an adult Hunger Games mixed in with The Walking Dead, World War Z and The Road. No zombies, no vampires, no dystopian future but a very poignant look at human nature and dire circumstances. Although I am a bit tired of the time jumps that plague all current literature, these feel necessary and are almost a relief in cutting the tension at times. Great novel!

"If I ever need a reminder to be courageous and keep an open heart, Ehrenreich's nonfiction book about Palestine is plenty. I can't believe I know the man who wrote this book, that he's walking around among us. Living on the West Bank, Ben chronicled the true stories of everyday people with humility, tenderness and perfect storytelling. Like Patty Yumi Cottrell and Luke Goebel remind me, Ehrenreich proves that art is the ultimate panacea."
