I haven't played but have heard of the games and how popular they are. So I can't comment on how accurate it is. As a stand alone Thriller TV series it's really well done. HBO don't spare expense on their shows and it is the same here. Huge sets really immerse you into the Post apocalyptic world of the future. Felt a lot like the Walking Dead sets in scale.
The cast is good especially the two lead characters. The story is interesting and will grip you. Although some episodes take place at different times occasionally with different characters but they really bring the story to life. Check it out whether you have played the games or not.

I recently watched the first Bad Lieutenant film, not sure if this is a sequel of sorts or not? It is no where near as dramatic as the first, but I actually prefer this version as it has a bit more structure to it and less random. Cage plays a cop who may do bad things but often it is a means to an end. He has a drug problem, gambling and is walking a fine line on being the wrong side of the law. Can he redeem himself when a family of 5 is killed in a drug shooting. This is an enjoyable film, Cage's performance does get a bit trippy at times. Overall it's a entertaining film with a good story if not anything ground breaking.

Either an ironic commentary on the alienation of modern man and the dehumanising effects of modern production techniques, or two idiots in bowler hats smashing everything up by accident. The usual miraculous Laurel and Hardy alchemy is in play, manifesting in the duo's ability to milk a joke longer than is surely humanly possible - on this occasion with the 'walking into a plank' bit and the extended sequence in which Ollie gets a paintbrush glued to his chin and Stan has the job of removing it.

One of the pair's denser, more relentless comedies in terms of jokes, most of them good ones - the indiscriminate property damage is also more extravagantly spectacular than in many of their films. Written by Stan, but as ever the magic is in the two of them together.

More Doesn’t Necessarily Mean Better
This book picks up right after the classic ends. The peddler is walking home after having gotten his caps back from the monkeys. Unfortunately, he doesn’t realize that the monkeys are following him home. When he does discover them in his yard, what will he do? And what will happen when he goes into town to sell his caps the next day?

I loved the original as a kid, so I was curious to see what happened in the sequel. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have the charm of the first book. The original was surprising and funny, but here the interactions with the monkeys feel predictable, and the peddler isn’t nearly as clever. Kids may still like it, but this adult wasn’t as enchanted as he’d hoped to be.

The much-anticipated debut novel by the very talented scriptwriter and actress Ruth Jones (Nessa from Gavin and Stacey) has had mixed reviews from critics but I think I know why. This novel doesnÕt have the quirkiness or levity that youÕd expect from JonesÕ TV work, although it originated from an abandoned TV script she rediscovered. This work delves into affairs and consequences and therefore itÕs a little more pensive. Ex-lovers Kate and Callum meet after seventeen years and consider walking away or taking a second chance to find out if the grass is greener. The two protagonists are not exactly likeable, I found myself wanting to know less about them and more about others. I enjoyed the book but forget any notion of Nessa, Ruth Jones has a voice of her own.
