This was the first Miyazaki film I could watch in theaters, and I am so glad for the experience. This, however, will rank low in my Miyazaki ranking. It felt like a lot was missing from this film.

Director Lars von Trier never pulls any punches in his films. This one is more subdued and less extreme than some of his other work, but that does not mean less enjoyable. The stunning visuals and ideas set forth in this visual painting will leave you thinking long after the film ends. I suspect you can see different meanings and details every time you watch it. Not for those who like their plots tied up nicely or woven to completion; however, a must watch for any true cinephile.

I really loved this movie as far as starwars goes .it s beautiful futureistic settings.strong characters who arnt made for just verry young kids .its verry teen to adult storyline.lots of action beliveable and even the smartmouth empire robot is funny yet not too over powering.ive watched this movie 3 times and could watch again.id have ranked it ahead of the first two made starwars movies but they were the first two and still hold a huge place in my heart...well worth the watch.
