"Close Encounters of the Third Kind is my favourite film of all time. That will always be number one. I can watch it today and it’s like a time machine; it completely takes me back to the way I felt when I first watched it as a kid. For me it never dates, it never ages, and it’s just perfect."

"P. T. is awesome. I grew up watching Adam Sandler, but this performance lured me into another side of him and blew me away. You’ve just watched Happy Gilmore and then you’re like, I’m going to watch another Adam Sandler movie, and then you see this and you’re like, whoa, brilliant. I realize these selections are all emotional movies for me!"

"I always go back to Freaks & Geeks. Every episode is so perfect. But I only really watch television in the winter because there’s nothing to do in Chicago and I get tired of going out and forcing myself to do things. But, in the summer, I’m normally out riding my bike, or getting some tacos, or running around outside. You know, living."

"This is like Road House in stereo. You get a badass Stallone and a badass Kurt Russell as buddy cops who get framed and sent to prison. John and I used to pretend we were Tango and Cash when we were kids. In fact, we still do whenever we watch it, which was as recently as last week. It just never gets old."

"[Again by] Chayevsky. And directed by Sidney Lumet. That story to me — it’s amazing how it continues to be — it was predicting something that we’re dealing with [now]. It was dealing with something in its time, but it still continues to be so timely. It’s one of these movies that I just go back and watch, and it continues to blow my mind."

"Another one is The Holy Grail because I love Monty Python, but also, I knew all the lines by heart. I used to watch it all the time as a kid. Lots of people prefer Life of Brian, but for some reason, I just love Holy Grail. You know, I’m a bit of a history buff, so I just loved all that stuff."

"“It’s by far my favourite film and so different to anything I’ve seen before. It feels like an artform in itself. I think I could just watch that movie and no other for the rest of my life and not feel as though I’d missed anything. It’s basically three men walking around a field. That’s all it is, yet it’s utterly mind- blowing.”"

"It’s amazing how much story they fit. It’s extremely efficient. You feel that, with some episodes, if they had time to make them into movies, they could be great movies. But they don’t have that time and for that, it’s also great to watch and understand what you shouldn’t be doing in a movie. Viewing it, it’s just like candy."

"The chemistry between Jennifer Lopez and George Clooney was insane. Anytime that movie comes on cable, I can’t not watch it and it’s really because of their chemistry and the movie’s just fun. Don Cheadle is great in it. I love the story of it. I love the way Soderbergh shot it and I love the love story aspect of it."

Daft but fun
One of those films that sounds pretty bad but exactly was quite funny. A guy invites the wrong girl on a weekend work retreat to Hawaii and has to put up with her crazy ways. Very silly and predictable but funny as well making it the right film for an easy watch and a few laughs.
