This book has been made into a movie. It is a true account from the one survivor and I recommend you read the book because I hate what Hollywood does to stories like this. These are real people not characters to over dramatize. Getting off my soapbox.

The book told what it really is like to be a wildland fire fighter and the brotherhood that exisits. The author Brendan McDonough had overcame alot to become a fire fighter. You get to see that these hero's have their own demons but still give their all.

I remember hearing about this tragedy when it happened and being very angry. Why were they there protecting property? Were lives worth that? Who dropped the ball with the weather reporting and communication? After reading this book I realize that alot of decisions were made by many people. I still feel this tragic accident could have been prevented but honor the men who died doing what they loved.

A true story of survival
What a film! What a story! And it's based on real events! I was absolutely mesmerised.

This is a film about survival, strength, extreme bravery, selflessness, the sheer will to stay alive and the risks "normal" people will take to save one man in the face of the brutality of not only the terrain and weather but also of the Nazi's hunting him.

Excellent acting, stunning visuals and cinematography; this film had my bum firmly planted for all of its 135 minutes.

I know some people don't like watching films with subtitles, but please, please don't let that put you off; there isn't a massive amount of dialogue as what is spoken is not the draw of this film.

How accurate it really is, I don't know but if only half of it is close to the truth then I would still be in awe.

Definitely recommended viewing.

Eve Hardaway takes a trip to the jungles of southern Mexico in order to rediscover herself. Instead, she discovers something truly horrifying, a mad man bent on killing her and everyone else at the remote camp where she is staying. With the weather conspiring against them, will they be able to get out to safety?

The book took a little while to set up the story, introducing us to the characters and the landscape we’d spend the rest of the book in. But once it gets going, this is another page turner from a talented thriller author. The villain was a bit over the top early on, but he became more human as the book progressed – not that I ever liked him. The rest of the characters are interesting to watch as they rise to the challenge or cave under the pressure.

This tv show is one of the best I've ever seen. It keeps me on my toes always keeps me guessing. My emotions are everywhere in a good way though. It has very strong family values throughout the entire season. They deal with good and bad. They are put to the test constantly. Every supernatural thing you can think of is in it including regular people. They go through many trials weather its personally or friends or the supernatural things. The world is is literally on there shoulders and they have to at times save the world from impending doom. I highly recommend the supernatural series.

The fourth book in Rachel Caine's 'Weather Warden' series, this picks up not long after the events of the previous book ("Chill Factor").

While I found both the first and the second book in the series hit the ground running and barely let up, I also felt that the third novel fumbled the ball a bit: a trend that, unfortunately, continues in this. Like the afore-mentioned previous book, this suffers from a some-what slower pace than the first two, with one plot twist (in particular) I found couldn't be any more obvious than if the blurb on the back of the book gave it away (which I have seen that happen ...)

That's not to say I didn't enjoy this book - I did - but that, compared to previous entries, I felt this was a bit of a let-down. It is possible, however, that those two books constitute the calm before the storm, so I will probably read on ...
