Yes, she is. Though I felt she was annoying prissy in that role. Virginia Madsen, now, she was a vixen if I ever saw one. I admired her sex appeal. She's too skinny now, though. I think women look better when whey're a little plump. In the novel, the author describes the character of Dolly as an overripe peach, a little soft, plump, sweet, and juicy, and prone to dimpling when you push on its skin. And Don Johnson was hot evwn hotter now that he's filled out and not as skinny. I like my men a little on the larger side. And that soundtrack by John Lee Hooker is perfection. It just sounds like a tinny, rusty old Texas town. The man who played Sutton was so creepy and evil. I saw him recently in something elsr and he was perfectly sweet and charming. I couldn't believe it was the same actor. All of the actors were perfect for their roles: the banker, the old blind man, the southern sheriff and deputy, the used car lot owner, Harshaw, and car salesman, Gulick. Seriously, whoever cast the mobie should have won an award. The movie was well-done and suspenseful. Dennis Hopper did a great job directing. If I'm not mistaken, that might have been his first time behind the camera. While not a blockbuster, it's a good, solid movie.
