This was a pretty good read. Billy's parents have just seperated, and his family is learning how to cope with those changes. I liked how the story showed that while adults normally mean well they can make the wrong decision.

An excellent well edited caper involving boxing, extortion, and aggravated armed robbery.

May take a few watches to fully understand the flow of events.

So, if someone sent you a bad luck charm, would you wear it? No? Well, neither would i? Mary Anne Spier is an entirely different kettle of fish. This book introduced me to the concept of holding one's breath while passing a graveyard.

I really loved this watery adventure. Leyla is a great determined character and the questions it raised about fear and bigotry were very well done

The first film is definitely one of the best book to screen adaptions that I have seen. It captured the magical atmosphere so well and brought the characters to life. The magic in this film makes me happy every time I watch it.

Started so well
The ending was a bit daft but Mads Mikkelsen is always so good to watch and as Hannibal he is outstanding. Personally think he's better in the role than Anthony Hopkins but I'll let you decide
