A fun western starring Tim McCoy, king of the western at the time and who would make a biography full of stories for Hollywood to film. The movie is fun, with fast and realistic fight scenes. The story is also great, which despite being a cliché, it would be great if they were used for a series these days. We still have John Wayne, at the beginning of his career and with his excellent charisma already honed that would earn him the post of king of the western in the following decades. The film is fast, so all the unwinding too, but the film manages to close all the ends very well. I enjoyed it a lot.

A very well assembled cast in a high quality produced western, which stars and is directed by Ed Harris. The only real problem I kept waiting for all hell to break loose and the pace to be upped a few gears and unfortunately it never really happens. If you don't mind a slower paced western you will enjoy it, if you are after more action I recommend the remake of 3:10 to Yuma.

"If I had to throw one more into the mix, I mean, there’s so many great movies. Unforgiven. There’s my last one right there. Unforgiven, I think, is the best Western ever."

Nice cinematography
Brutal Western feel story based on true life tales of 3 bootlegging brothers. It has a great cast and good production values. Just falls short of being truly great.

"Highly influential western by Jim Jarmusch with gorgeous black-and-white cinematography and a haunting, minimalist electric guitar score by Neil Young. All these ingredients make this one of my all-time favorites. "

"There’s another western that I really love, with Charles Bronson. It’s called Once Upon A Time in the West. I love westerns. You know, Eastwood, Bronson, Henry Fonda, they were the best for westerns."

I really struggled with the second age books. This, the first volume, takes some time getting used to, moving from a more traditional fantasy setting into something of a Western setting. The magic system has changed somewhat due to what happened in the first trilogy, so it is good to see how a character with access to only one metal's power compares.
A good book on its own, if you can handle the western setting, but nothing compared to the first age trilogy.

"The Western is obviously one of the staples of American cinema, but ironically, the Italian spaghetti-westerns have become more famous in pop culture than the classic American western. And amongst the spaghetti-western directors, Sergio Leone will always be the titan for me. Although I love his films with Clint Eastwood, this epic is one to spend an evening with; from the classic shoot-out at the train depot, to the haunting final three-way gun fight, this may be my favorite portrayal of Charles Bronson on screen. It’s a story of the expansion of the railroad and the opening of the west; of revenge and infamy; of love triangles and justice. And with a sweeping, heartrending soundtrack from Ennio Morricone, what more can you ask of a film?"

Good clean western

I wouldn't particularly call this Christian fiction as it doesn't really have a Christian centered theme. It is a good book, with a good character builds and a well thought out plot.
