4.5 stars.
It would have been 5 if not for that proper cliffhanger ending.
It was all sweetness and light and rainbows and butterfies for me throughout, though it drove me mad a few times with how oblivious they both were to each others feelings, but that end bit! So dark and cliffhanger-y. I even had to carry on into the sneak peek for the next book just to try and get some answers but nope, cut off before we find out if everyone is okay. Bloody hell!
Now i really need to read book 2 to see what happens next.

She can choose her future. But she has to do it NOW ... On the eve of her eighteenth birthday,...
My son really enjoyed it and asked me to read it as well., I was not as impressed as he was. Feels like a mix of Hunger Games and Divergent, with a few other dystopian ideas tossed into a blender and mashed up to create a new world. It wasn't horrible, but not what I would consider a great book. I will give it points that the end did leave you wanting to know what happens next, so made me want to move on to the next in the series. I will give it brownie points for capturing my son's attention. He is very picky about books, and mainly chooses non-fiction, so any fiction book that captures him deserves some credit.

I found this read to be very thrilling and action-packed. I was worried it would be a lot of "filler" stuff to make the read longer, but I was pleasantly suprised to find each chapter riveting. I found myself wondering what would happen next in Nora and Patch's story when I was away working or someplace I wasn't able to continue reading. It was unbelievably hard to set this book down. I cannot wait for the next installment! I have already pre-ordered it and cannot wait for it to get here so I can see what happens next!
The entire series or "saga" is a magnificent piece of work. I found the story to be inspiring and it held a great many of life's lessons within it. I really enjoy when a fiction or fanrasy writers incorporate meaning and intertwine it throughout their books.
Absolutely awesome.

Ooo.. I loved this one more then the first. I loved everything. The magic was cooler.. the characters amazing and I loved that the ones from the first were in the 2nd also. This was amazing and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book and I'm hoping we see more of the first two sisters with their triplet. I am really enjoying this series. So grateful the author allowed me to review for her :)

I finally got around to finishing this, and if I'm honest I can't decide if I'm happy about the end bit of this volume. I may have wanted it to happen but I don't feel happy about it now that it has. I feel sorry for Ren-kun. And as for Andou and his confession, I'm kinda torn about that too.
Oh, I need to read more to find out what happens next with this group.

For fans of Coast to Coast AM
This was really enjoyable. There are a group of people out there who think science has become a religion and anyone who believes anything science hasn't yet discovered gets bashed. They read Fortean Times and listen to Coast to Coast and Astonishing Legends and think there could be something in all this 'woo woo' stuff of conspiracy, UFOs , skinwalker's etc. I am one of those people and so I felt this book was made for me and my people.
A group of filmmakers who look for answers into the paranormal and conspiracy go to the grand canyon to hunt for the legendary Kincaid's Cave first printed about in 1909 (Google it). There have been numerous expeditions in just over a century to try and discover said cave to see if it's real and what it holds, all unsuccessful, but in the novel there has just been a minor earthquake and the team find the cave. What happens next is a proper out there thrilling adventure of life and death, incredible conspiracies, and potentially the apocalypse. This was so much fun and gripping enough to keep you turning the page to see what happens next. It will be too out there for some but for me it was on the side of crazy I enjoy. Can't wait for The Possession, the next in the series

Hmm...well I didn't guess right in my hunt for the bad guy, in fact the person I thought it was ended up dead themselves. It was a very interesting and well thought out storyline.
It was the romance that I didn't enjoy as much. There wasn't much reading time of the couple together, not until after the half way point could they even really be in the same room without arguing over the past--though it was all one big misunderstanding.
I like Josh's work and I'm sure I'll read the next book in the series at some point just to see what happens next with these two.
