this book continues from the first one and can not be read as a stand alone read. This is another fab sexy, sensual, erotic, steamy read from this author. This book is very realistic but can be heart breaking in places. I cant wait for book 3 to be released I really need to know what happens next with these characters. The character have such an intense chemistry that just leaps of the page at you as you read.

Highly recommended

This one took me 2 tries to get through it. There was so much that was just very slow for me. I'm not sure if I like Barrons or not and Mac was a bit odd however it did get my interest enough that I need to read the next book and see if it gets better. I am curious to find out what happens with Mac and her family and with Barrons. Also, I need to know who Barrons is. So the first book was slow for me but did enough to keep me interested to read the others :)

This one was a very interesting story. the characters and plot kept my attention. some parts were very ehh at times but overall i enjoyed it.
I love books about musicians and I love that when Haylee got down the boys picked her back up. The sexyness between the 3 of them was amazing. The m/m parts were hott... and all 3 together were hott. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book and see how it all goes. I love that they got their HEA and it was a very good story.

Wow this was a thrilling and edgy ride to be a part of. Amazing writing and characters. There is nightmares, murder, love interests, romance (and a sexy romance at that), intrique and so much more in this story. The writing makes me feel as if I was a part of this story with the characters. I felt as if I was in their lives and seeing it as it was happening. I love when a writer makes me feel like that. Linda did an amazing job with this first story in this series and I can't wait to see what happens next

Holy wow, this was wonderful. It has magic, to be specific earth magic, and it has mystery and love and paranormal. There is fighting, making up, love, night life, magic, and so much more. Alex Conner is witty, sexy, strong, and a mystery. Parker Sinclair's writing takes you on a whirlwind of emotions and intrique and mystery. It is an amazing start to a wonderful series and it will pull you into this fast paced story that you have to keep reading until it's over and you still need more. I cannot wait for book 2 and to see what happens next.

I finished this about two hours ago on my break at work and wanted to scream because I didn't have the other volumes to finish the series.

I'd been wanting to read a book by this author for a while now after seeing all my Goodreads friends giving his books good rating so when I saw this free on Amazon I got a little giddy.

I wasn't sure at the start whether I'd like it but boy did I get drawn in quick! I really need to see what happens next with these two!

Off to check the price right now :-)

The book is good, although it is somewhat frustrating that almost every chapter has flashbacks. Once you become familiar with the routine though it is easier to read and understand. The story is interesting, as the idea is unique and not like any other dystopian novel I have read. There is no real conclusion and it leaves everything hanging until the next book, which was rather annoying. I would like to see some sort of short term conclusions at the end of a novel, to feel that there is some sort of resolution. This is definitely not one of my favorites but I will most likely read the next book in the series when it comes out just because I need to know what happens with the characters.

Though in my review for the previous book I claimed I was just in this for the possible something/anything to happen between our prince's...I lied!!

The whole good versus evil thing has definitely got me cheering on these two--the budding romances really isn't hurting the book at all, though that secret may cause some real trouble in the next one--and I really want to see them get peace and revenge for everything that's happened so far to all these people.

I'm impatiently awaiting book three so I can see what happens next in this series, and so hopefully my two guys can get some sort of happy ending because if not I know I'll be even more tempted to throw my kindle than I was with this one.

Well written and compelling
Without giving spoilers on the story, this is a well crafted tale of a young girl, arrogant and skilled who is more than how she is initially portrayed. As the book continues I found myself becoming well attached to characters, and Sarah J. Mass did what all writers aspire to do, which is make the reader NEED to know what happens next. This book weaves action, romance, friendship, trust, fantasy and deception throughout and I admit I didn't have to think twice before instantly purchasing the next book of the series once I had quickly finished Throne of Glass. All in all, an enjoyable experience, and one I hope to continue throughout the series.

To explain my negative comment above, it was only when I purchased the second book and on browsing the contents page, that I found a pronunciation guide. I had been imagining different ways of saying certain names and had to re imagine them when beginning the next book. A guide, such as the one found in the second, would have been useful in Throne of Glass.
