Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a "fractured fairytale" modeled after Goldilocks and the Three Bears. But this version has a paranormal twist that will keep you entertained throughout the novel.

I have to admit, I was a little confused after the first few chapters, because of all the new characters that got introduced. It was a little hard keeping up with all of them. However, I eventually kept it all straight, and I really enjoyed the story. I used to wonder what happened to Goldilocks after she left the three bears' home, and now I know! Plus, with the epilogue leaving it open for another book based on what Sam finds, I look forward to seeing what happens next in the story.

The first 40% of this took me a long time to get into. I don't know why. Maybe it was the trial, maybe it was the lack of Joe, but after Mason was introduced I became more intrigued with what his role would be in the series (although I've read reviews by friends of future books in the series, so I guess I already know) and by the end, I think I was starting to prefer him to Joe (Joe's jealousy in relation to Mason was starting to do my head in) and I want to read future instalments in this series to see what happens next with this threesome.

I feel I have to add something about Miss Mildred! What a, erm...strong-willed old lady. That bit at the end almost had me crying with laughter.

Laney bird is a retired undercover cop who is bumbling along through life with her troubled son Alfie. Dealing with her daily struggles as a single mum then one day Alfie doesn't return home

The book is captivating from the start. You get the back story of why alfie goes missing and all of the feelings and instincts of not just a mother but a retired cop, and just what she will do to have her son back.
I love the intensity of the book and intensity of all of everybodys feelings that are involved.

A deffinate must read it was capturing, intense and thrilling, deffinatly makes you want to turn the page to find out what happens next.

I totally love this book!

It's sweet, it's romantic, it's heart-breaking.

Rowen Sterling, you are one lucky woman to find a guy like Jesse. He's amazing! He doesn't care about your past or your fashion sense, he cares about you, the person. (Just writing that is making me want to fill up :') he's so sweet). I loved him from early on and he grew on me throughout.

Rowen, you may have been broken when you got to that ranch but look what the love of a good family will do to you...

Looking forward to reading the next in the series, to see what else happens between these two.

P.S. This is a cowboy New Adult book! Two things I love in one! :D

Calandra is a powerful merfolk healer who is related to royalty, she just doesn't know how powerful she is. Zale is an attraction at a travelling show what could the two possibly have in common?

This is the first book in the rise of the Grigori series and oh my goodness what a book. I was completely captivated by it from the first page! I found myself struggling at one stage not because it's been badly written it hasn't, but I felt like I was missing out on bits of information and it was only because I was that taken with everything going on in the story I was speed reading to find out what was happening next. I was so gripped by the book that I ended up burning my dinner at one stage. There is so much love and tenderness in this tale it's warming to have it happen between 2 of the characters.

The plot is not on I would expect but I truly and thoroughly enjoyed it and I will be reading the next one in the series. I need to know what happens and how everything is going to be resolved.

Kudos to Talena. Please read I think you will enjoy the adventure

Review: Roma Underground by Gabriel Valjan (Blog Tour) Roma Underground is done well. The author starts out with a woman we meet as Bianca N. We do learn a little about her past. Her name is mentioned, as Alabaster Black. You may think well, is that her real name or not? We also meet up with Dante, Alessandro, Farrugia and Gennaro. We also run into a few more people along the way.

What out a bit of a boring start with this story. It does get much better. Somehow this group gets involved with a smuggling artifact. Why is Bianca recruited by “Rendition”? Who are they, and what do they want?

Though you do not know how this group gets brought in to start a hoax? You will just be wandering in the world is going on and what it roughly about. Someone is stealing artifacts or art artifacts that have been going missing. The hoax is started by an idea that is shared by Dante.
You do go about learning about Roma Underground and what happens there along the history of Rome. I can not wait to find out what to happen next in the next book named “Wasp Nest.” This book is worth the reading and it offers so much more.

The end of A Clash of Kings snuck up on me. That's something I hadn't really thought about before, especially with an 874 page monster like this, but it can happen with an ebook. I'm reading along, eager to know what happens next. The chapter ends, I go to the next page, and - Appendix? What do you mean, Appendix! That's nonsense, there's got to be more story here than that! I want to know what comes next, dammit! GIVE ME THE STORY!

As it happens, I can start reading [b:A Storm of Swords|62291|A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, #3)|George R.R. Martin|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1298429990s/62291.jpg|1164465] whenever I like, unlike all those poor folk who read this book when it was first released. I think I might need to stop and read a few other books first, though. I did read today's big announcement regarding [b:A Dance with Dragons|2782553|A Dance with Dragons (A Song of Ice and Fire, #5)|George R.R. Martin|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1301849720s/2782553.jpg|2936175], but there's no way I can stretch the next two volumes out to last through more than two months until book five actually comes out. I'm sure the delay will be worth it, though!

One thing [a:Sam Chupp|11847|Sam Chupp|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1219698183p2/11847.jpg] and I have discussed is Martin's marvelous subtlety with magic. It's only barely there at all throughout A Game of Thrones, and can easily be dismissed by anyone who doesn't have direct experience of it. It grows stronger in A Clash of Kings, but it is still something that just about anyone in the Seven Kingdoms would say belongs in tales for children. Not relying on magic for plot takes more discipline as an author, and holding back as he is says a great deal about Martin's careful pace.

Celaena was just what I liked in a character; bad arse, beautiful and someone who gives as good as she gets.

The cover is great and grabs your attention but at the same time slightly deceiving (it was what put me off buying it for so long) as it makes the book look so fantasy-esque when in fact, it's about a young (blonde) girl who rediscovers her femininity while kicking other guys arses in Tests she has to go through to become the King's Assassin, while at the same time trying to unearth an evil force.

This was an adventure, with high and lows and awww's and ewww's and I was hooked from the very first page.

The romance aspect caught me up in it too, though I think I'm 100% in Chaol's court.

Looking forward to reading Crown of Midnight now to see what happens next!

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

A difficult read to get into. While I enjoy a good plot/mystery with erotica, I felt I had trouble staying focused on this novel. It was easy for me to put it down and step away and not be hounded by the usual “what happens next?” As whole, it was an enjoyable read even if it was a bit hard to follow. The characters were interesting to say the least and the erotic scenes were decent. Following a pretty graphic erotic novel, the scenes in this story seemed tame. I think I was just hoping for something…more raunchy?
