Crikey! This book has kept me entertained on my train travels today. My cheeks were on fire (because I blush--a lot!--and for no apparent reason sometimes) for a long time as I read the sex scenes between Zeth and Sloane.
I'm not a huge fan of erotica normally, I get very bored with sex scenes unless I really like the characters. I cant say I liked them at the start but there was something about Zeth from that first chapter in that dark hotel room, some magnetism he possessed as a character that drew me to him and what he was doing. He was naughty but gentle.
As for Sloane, I have to say I wouldn't quite know what to do in her situation either...but Zeth? I think she's crazy to even think of turning him down. His dirty mouth and his attractiveness, his tattoo's... *sigh*
I cant wait for the second book in the series to find out what happens next with these two!

We’re back with Maeve Kerrigan and Josh Derwent in The Close, and they certainly have a full case load!
Maeve starts investigating the murder of a hospital consultant, whose body is found in his car in the hospital car park. She is also roped in to helping Josh on another case. One where they have to go undercover as a house/ dog sitting couple, whilst they investigate the death of a man with a learning disability. Oh, what a bind - to be stuck in a house with Josh Derwent for weeks!
Well, all doesn’t go quite as expected, but the tension is high with both Maeve, Josh and the case!
There are some great interactions in what appears at first glance to be an idyllic neighbourhood. It really isn’t.
The crimes are shocking, and it comes as no surprise that outwardly good people do terrible things.
I can’t wait to see what happens between Kerrigan and Derwent in the next book, but I suppose I’ll just have to!
Highly recommended!

Drax and his laugh
Funny
Colorful, amazing visuals, especially if you watch it in 4k
I didn’t really care for the villain in this movie. However, I still really liked the movie. The visuals were amazing. Baby Groot is the cutest, and I just about cried when the ravagers took him. It was still funny, but it lost a little humor compared to the first one. Every time Drax laughed I couldn’t help but laugh too. I’m interested to see what happens when they meet up with the avengers in the next avengers movie. I’m a little sad that Groot will be a teenager by then though. Still a fun and entertaining watch.

The story is great. I love the idea of a spirit/soul waking up in a different body everyday. As the plot unfolds you come to know A for who they are inside and not on the outside. You begin to fall in love with A's dedication to living each day as the person that A is in for the day. However, as the book progresses, A starts to deviate from the everyday schedules of the bodies A inhabits and chases after a girl the A is in love with.
The whole story was great, the only complaint is I want to know what happens next. Where did A go? Will A ever find a body?

Lauren Carr has brought you another thriller of a story. A Fine Year for Murder is a doozy of a mystery and gut wrenching. No has any ideas that Jessica as seen a family be murdered. When Dallas Walker start talking about a case that see is investing the case called Pine Creek Massacre.
I loved the story and the way it was laid out. Jessica is dealing with nightmares, and things get more intense when something happens to young girls. What is triggering her nightmares? It a book you can not put down once you start to read it. All of Lauren Carr books are like that. She makes you want more and leaves to read her next book.

Oh my, that was wonderful! I spent the last hundred pages or so both wanting to get to the end, and being reluctant to finish because I didn't want it to be over.
Don't start this series without having all the books on hand, or you will kick yourself. They are simply so engaging that you will find it necessary to know what happens next. The plot is simply incredible.
Royce and Hadrian are wonderful. I couldn't stand Arista at first, but she certainly grew on me. Molina is a little two-dimensional, but that makes sense in some respects.
Now I have to go find the prequels and read them, because I don't want to leave Sullivan's world just yet.

Karin broke my heart with this one. From beginning to end, so many questions about Will, his past, his parents, were finally answered. We learn a little more about Amanda, from back in the '70s. We're taken through the events that led up to Will's birth and his mother's demise. By the end, I was fighting tears. Criminal is, without a doubt, the most emotional Will Trent book I've read thus far. Now that the past has been settled, it's time to focus on the present: Is Will going to nurture his new relationship with Sara or will Angie's latest act bring him back to her? This is one love triangle I honestly can't wait to end, but I'm still excited to see what happens next.

This has left me wanting so much more. And I really want Tarrick to be lying about not caring for Matthew. You can't make me want them to be a couple and then break my heart like that. I mean, I know Tarrick was a bit of an arse in how he treated Matthew but come on..?!
I have to agree with some other reviewers about having M/F sex scenes when I thought this was going to be M/M. I don't really like it happening but I didn't mind it too much.
I also can't wait to read more of this series and might have to splash out on book two just to see what happens next.
