Don't loose your place
Stephen Perkins introduces us with another gripping tale of political intrigue, magic, and physiological thriller. This is my second book written by Stephen Perkins and to be honest I did not believe he had another great one in him but he completely surprised me with this story. He takes you and enveloping tale in the world that has been changed and destroyed and what is left is a dystonia society focused on the sustainability of all and where magic reigns. It starts its tale in 2063 in a prison where an old Jim Keogh telling his prison guards about his dad and telling them the truth behind the history they believe they know. Mr. Perkins unique writing style pulls you into the story where you have to pay attention and take your time or you will miss definitely miss something important; it is definitely a book you can read more than once and find things you did not see the first time or even the last time. You will complete all the three hundred and sixty-two pages and not even realized you have read so many the way he pulls you in and you experience exactly what the characters are and you have that feeling like you have been truly their and experienced as they have experienced. The way he ties all the events together in his writing makes you wonder if he knows something about the geopolitical environment that no one else knows. Perhaps that is the point the wonder behind his ideas that make you want to continue to see where the story goes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
Welcome to Essex Lane Estate - or, as it's better known by its residents, The Devil. There are two ways out: you either make good, or you turn bad.
Jen Miller is determined not to repeat the same mistakes her mother did. She's waiting to find herself a good job and a decent man. In contrast, her younger sister Tiff is running errands for a gangster and looking for any opportunity for fun and profit. But she might just be in over her head . . .
As the sisters cross paths with the unstoppable Dee - a woman with her own agenda - both Tiff and Jess learn that the plans you make often have a way of going wrong. Especially if you live on The Devil's Estate.
But, at least they can rely on each other . . . Can't they?
It was good and I did enjoy it but felt it was a bit like a few others I’d read in this genre nothing really stood out to me. But I did enjoy it for what it was!

It's all about those pesky expectations...
If you have seen a good number of action movies then you know that there are certain things that you should expect from them. Not that the stories don't change a bit, but the sequencing, the pacing, the overall feel and vibe of the movie is going to be quite similar. If that's what you have come to expect, you're on the right track here.
Wasn't a terrible movie. Emile Hirsch did a decent enough job in the titular role. Kate Bosworth held her own. Mel Gibson showed up with what has become his own grit and wit. The story is awkwardly similar to Hurricane Heist in many regards, but gets the job done a little better, probably due to stronger acting in general.
Decent popcorn tosser or background noise.

4.5 stars.
I would have happily given this 5 stars if not for that bit near the end where Dean went off the rails. I know he was in pain but you had a great girl there waiting to help you, you arse!! What were you thinking!?
I loved Dean. I think I was looking forward to his story since the first one. He was such a manwhore but the fun, flirts with anything kind. He wasn't heartless at all. I couldn't wait to see what sort of girl would bring him to his knees, and who would have thought a rebound, one night thing with a girl who did not want to sleep with him while sober would have been the one?
I loved them as a couple and I look forward to Tucks book!

Amazing series!!
Contains spoilers, click to show
Since series 1 I was hooked from the way that franky developed as a character to the way that bee did and actually formed strong relationships with the people around her. You do have moments through the series where you asked why things happen? Why have they killed off specific people. Recently happening in this latest series and wanting to shake some of the characters in it to wake them up. Allie Novak especially what is she doing!! Think there should be her seeing a ghost in the storyline so that she can be bought out of Marie's shadow.... spoilers are in the above do apologise but it's a must see!!
I did not expect to like this novella as much as I did. After reading the synopsis, I really wanted to read it, especially since I have a thing for romance/erotica featuring chefs. Meat did not disappoint. Overall, it has likable characters, steamy scenes, and an alpha male who isnt a sexist bore! The only downside, is that the story is highly predictable. I am not sure if the twists were supposed to be twist because I picked up on them right off the bat (and I am a bit slow at these things.) Not that it detracted from enjoying the story. What I appreciated most, however, was how realistic the erotic scenes are. I wont give anything anyway, just that you should read it.

HEADLINE:
McFarland USA
plot
Jim White moves his family after losing his last job as a football coach. He sees that some of the students are worth starting a cross-country team and turns seven students with no hope into one of the best cross-country teams.
What lessons did you learn from this story (theme/moral)? What do you think others will learn from it?
One man can open eyes, and not just one or two eyes but a whole family, team, school, community. Its not about where you are that truly matters, it’s about the people you are with here that truly matters. Even if you do not get the results you wanted to have when the final second ticks off the clock, you are, and you will always be a winner. No matter how much success you have on your own you are alone, so do it as a team, that way you are and never will be alone.
PARAGRAPH #4 What group of people would like this movie? Who would you recommend it to? Who would you not recommend it to?
i would recommend it to anyone who likes to run either cross country, track and field or running in general. i would also do the same to someone that likes a good storytale movie about life struggles and overcoming the odds.
What is your final word on the film: Is it good or bad?
Everyone from the creators of the movie to the extras of even the smallest scenes of the movie
