Auburn (57 KP) rated Furyborn: Empirium Trilogy Book 1 in Books
Apr 10, 2019
Before you even read the book the cover will draw you in! Look at that thing of beauty.
The book begins in such a way that you are immediately drawn in and need to know what will happen next. I was not expecting the twists to start in the first chapters.
The book is told from alternating points of view. These views are 1000 years apart but as you get through the book the similarities start to show up. By the time you are done you can see the bigger picture and just how massive the world building is.
This is a not to be missed series that will take you on an adventure filled with drama, romance, and magic. Come fall in love with these characters just as I did.
This book is perfect for fans of epic world's, strong female leads, and romance that will keep you swooning

Merissa (12066 KP) rated Restrained Desires (Rehoboth Pact #3) in Books
Apr 4, 2022 (Updated Jun 26, 2023)
RESTRAINED DESIRES is the third book in the Rehoboth Pact series, bringing to a close this fantastic trilogy. Kyle has played her part in the previous two books, strong and steady but kind of in the background. Now it's her time to shine.
Oh, Kyle! Bless you, sweetheart. You are so completely adorable but, please excuse me as I deck your mother! What a piece of work! It's amazing you turned out as you did. And thank goodness Chelsea can see that.
When I first read fake-date, I will admit to groaning a little. I love that trope but felt Kyle deserved someone who saw her, and who wanted her. And guess what? That's exactly what I got! Chelsea has her own issues to contend with but never did she not see Kyle for the wonderful human being she is. (Yes, I do know she's a character!)
Aubrey - you were a sod in this one. I went off you for a while. I'll let you off... just this once.
This is a spicy-hot story with plenty of feel-good moments. I will even admit to my eyes leaking but that's all I'm saying.
Ms McIntyre certainly saved the best until last in my opinion. Absolutely amazing. This whole trilogy is definitely one to buy, keep, and to re-read. ❤

Merissa (12066 KP) rated Who am I: Prequel to the Semiramis series in Books
Oct 11, 2019
Who am I: Prequel to the Semiramis series is exactly what it says. It is a short novella giving you an insight into the main character's childhood. It shows you just what Alex goes through and why she is the person she is at the beginning of Semiramis Awakened (book one in the series).
It is exceedingly well-written and packs a punch for all it is so short. You will feel for Alex before you even really know her, which is exactly how it should be. The writing is the usual high standard you would expect from a Maya Daniels book, and although there is no world-building per se, it still gives you enough to give you an inkling into Alex's world.
I have already read the three books in this series, and am waiting oh so patiently (!!!!) for the fourth book to arrive. Therefore I already know Alex and what she goes through. Did this impact my enjoyment of this story? Absolutely not. You don't have to read it in order to gain maximum enjoyment out of it. Absolutely recommended!

Whatchareadin (174 KP) rated Forever Princeton Charming in Books
Apr 10, 2019
When I finished Losing Princeton Charming, I had to immediately start reading this book. Losing left me with such a cliff hanger, I had to see what was going to happen next.
Forever Princeton Charming starts with Charlie being in the hospital after a car accident. She thinks her best friend may have something to do with the accident, but that can't be right. Together she and Spencer are determined to find out who could of tried to hurt Charlie and why. They have had so much backlash against their relationship already, this last thing is just the icing on the cake.
Thank you to C.M. Seabrook and Frankie Love for the opportunity to read and review this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series from start to finish. These last two books had me crying and laughing.
Trying to maintain a relationship when it seems the whole world against you is next to impossible. But when you love someone, you try your best to defeat the odds and go for what you want. Charlie and Spencer are no exception. Their families don't want them together, their friends don't want them together and society dictates that because they come from two different socioeconomic classes they shouldn't be together. You can't help who you fall in love with and who is going to make you the best version of yourself no matter what life throws at you.
I think Charlie and Spencer did what they had to do in order to be together. Forget the haters and naysayers. If you like a romance series with ups and downs and twists and turns, I suggest you go and pick up the Princeton Charming series right away. These books are sure to leave you with all kinds of emotions.

Guessing the singers in fun (2 more)
Some singers are really good
Great costumes
Not very know artists for some so even some reveals you wouldn't know who they are (1 more)
Some of the judging pannel were The
Unusual concept
The concept was very interesting and made you curious when you saw the trailer. When you watched the first episode though you began to wonder what you have just watched. It's only as you begin to watch further episodes you begin to get into the guessing game. Some of the singers were great and so unexpected. Also hats off to the costume department their costumes were great.
The only thing I found was some of the celebrities were very unknown so you would still wonder who they were after the reveal. Some of the judging panel did get on your nerves by the end so hopefully by next season there would be a change to that.

Molly J (Cover To Cover Cafe) (106 KP) rated The Theory of Happily Ever After in Books

What’s better for a book than an awesome comedy filled with inspiring messages and sparks of romance? That’s what Mrs. Billerbeck’s new novel has! But, it’s so much more than it! It’s captivating, and on more than one occasion , it had me laughing out loud and people looking funny at me! Each turn of the page brought me a little closer to Maggie and Sam and their quirky, Austenesque story.
What is the meaning of your happiness? Did you have to search it out or did it seek you out? That’s what Maggie Maguire encounters in this fun chick lit novel. I felt myself turning into Maggie, wondering what will happen next, what’s in store, is there a happily ever after. And, when Sam entered the picture, being a fan of Jane Austen, I was instantly pulled to him and his grump like self! The interaction between Maggie and Sam was fun and I was rooting for them the whole way through the story.
This is definitely a 4 star novel and one you shouldn’t miss! You’ll laugh out loud more times than not and you’ll find yourself instantly a part of this well written, inspiring novel of happy ever afters and true love. Well done, Ms. Billerbeck! Definitely a keeper on my shelf for sure!

What an interesting read. I was not expecting the twists the author put in this story. The main character Leah was a pain. The whole I'm a good girl act was just tiring. She used her “faith” as an escape and it was annoying. I know we shouldn’t judge how people choose to live but it just seemed so reckless. I did however keep an open mind about it. This book was full of things that were out of my comfort zone. The story was well written. The characters were flawed and it seemed like something that truly happened to someone. Cap was a mystery to me. I couldn’t figure him out. Did he want the lifestyle or did just want Leah. I was truly confused on the end game for them both. She was always running away and getting mad. It’s not like the man didn't say what he was into. Anyway if you choose to read this book keep your mind open. And don’t judge how some people choose to live and they do what makes them happy. We all need to learn how embrace our differences and just live.
