The serial killer thriller that took Europe by storm.

At 11 years old, Gabriel Naumann is witness to a horrific crime. Twenty-nine years later his girlfriend is taken. Then the messages begin. 'If you want to find her, then you'll have to find me.'

Somebody knows the truth. Somebody knows what he did. And now his girlfriend will pay for it - unless he can find her in time. When you've spent decades running from your past, what do you do when it finally catches up with you?

This was an enticing cover!

I was told how gory and scary this book was and I was kinda expecting more! It was a good read but just that a good read. When I’m told to expect gore and horror then I want it to hit me in the face and this didn’t. The story was ok and well told but yea I wanted so much more!

My First thriller/mystery read
This was a very Great book. This book is best enjoyed in one sitting - but you won’t really have a conscious choice in that once you begin reading you will be hooked and compelled to read until you reach the very last page!

There was never a dull moment in the story and it was so well written I did not want to put the book down until I was done!
Nothing is as it appears on the surface and it is action packed until the very end. Every single character had a purpose and you knew exactly what you needed to about them, they were real and hardworking and it was easy to feel the characters it just make the story that much better!

It was great to read a book where it was set in Australia and written by an Australian author

Was truly amazing. I loved the characters and how every time you think you might know what is going on, it flips everything you think you know on its head. I found this to have some particularly good points about being a young girl and how relationships worked. I also enjoyed the scenery, which you can't help but admire while reading. Even with the perspective being from the main character's eyes, I found myself thrilled at every word and page. I did find it started off a little slow, but once I finished chapter 2, I was hooked and couldn't put it down. I was glad to see it didn't focus too much o side details or rants, though it had that potential. I thought it moved smoothly through the story without giving too much away. Makes me excited to pick the rest of the 5 book series.

Twistedly beautiful
This series is very refreshing. Weird and sometimes strange but like a guilty pleasure nonetheless leaving you wanting more! With storylines and characters so twisted and peculiar it leaves you totally mind boggled. And just so you know tate Langdon is sinfully delicious (just saying!) I have progressed to series 3 so far so I have a lot to catch up on (I know! Don't give me that judging look) ? but I will say from what I've seen, if you think the first series isnt enough to keep you up all night binge watching episodes like its going out of fashion. Just you wait! each following season gets better and awesomely shocking! your brain will start to wonder "wait... Did my eyeballs just see that!?" two thumbs up and two big toe wiggles from me thoroughly recommend to anyone who revels in not being normal, well because normal people scare me of course ?

The ending I could never guess (0 more)
Who could guess the reason the culprit had (0 more)
This book was something a bit different but I guessed who the culprit was going to be from the beginning...not so much the specific character but definitely the why and the type of person (I can't reveal as don't want to spoil it for other readers).
It was an interesting book but I did get slightly bored but wanted to continue reading.
The author made sure the reader felt the character's fear as you were never sure what was going to happen next.
I would never ever have guessed what happened at the ending in the epiloge.
The blurb described the book well.

Incredible book
This was the first proper dystopian teen book I had read (well before the film's) and I really enjoyed the complexity and reality the author gave to the story, how the mother struggled with her husband's death and what this meant to a family living in such a cut throat world. I loved how you could see why she was doing what she did, that she never planned to get out alive when she saw who was going in with her and how she wasn't the 'darling' of the book nor a 'princess' to be looked after.

The ending of the series was a let down but this book is great to get your teeth into

Maybe you have to have a certain intellect to completely understand and, in the end, like this book. Perhaps I'm not smart enough to have enjoyed the story. I don't know. However, I can say that I most definitely did not like this - at all. I felt like the author was trying to present every philosophical thought he'd ever had into one book; most of the time I was confused, but I was curious about how it would end so I kept reading. I wish I hadn't. My mind ran wild with questions and assumptions, most more crazy than what actually happened (or, what I could understand was happening). There was only boredom and disappointment for me.

Thursday's Children (Frieda Klein #4)

There is something about Dr. Frieda Klein's past that no one is aware of. She has had no reason to share the secret with anyone until her past comes knocking at her door. When a friend from her childhood who she hasn't seen in over twenty years asks Frieda for help with her troubled daughter, Frieda is willing, but reluctant to help. When the daughter tells Frieda a story that is strangely familiar, she set out on a quest to discover the truth behind her own secret.

This was a book I couldn't put down. This book really touched me on a personal level What would you do if you told the one person you loved the most something traumatic that happened to you and they didn't believe you? What if their disbelief was so strong it had you doubting your own self and made you sad and depressed and wanting to be hidden from everyone? What if telling your secret got you killed?

In this 4th Frieda Klein novel, Frieda is forced to face a past she left behind 23 years ago. In pursuit of the truth, she rekindles some relationships that were probably better left to stay in the past. Traveling from her home in London back and forth to her hometown she left behind and never went back to in Braxton, will Frieda finally be able to find answers she didn't realize she needed.

I've finally hit a winning streak in reading good books. This one did not disappoint one bit and it's highly recommended.

What would happen if you could see muses? If a muse came into your life and wanted to help you become the artist you could only dream of. This is the story of Sylvia and her muse Vincent.

I must say I was not expecting any of this story when I started and was surprised at how dark it seemed. The plot had light moments but a lot of it concentrated on the dark side of music and how feeling too much could affect a person if they couldn't get the music out.
I did enjoy the slight romance but it definitely was understated. Note: the book ended on a cliff hanger.

For fans of darker fantasy and those who know a lot about music and artists.
