Lindsay (1717 KP) rated A Winter Walk in The City in Books
Jan 5, 2021
It is a book that will help your child or children learn to count to ten. It also shows you want holidays differently. It got a counting pattern as you read. It also teaches about the different cultural holidays during the winter season.
The pictures are done beautifully. It was one I enjoyed with the bright colors and looking at the illustrations. I even learned a new word in this book. Never heard of it either. You and your child or children and learn together and read together with this book.
A parent or child can reread these books over the year. Read it during the season to learn about the different cultures and what makes living in a city so special. Children may learn about different holidays and their cultures. They will also learn to count to ten or at least try.

Pale kings ( Emaneska book 2)
By Ben Galley
Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments
The Pale Kings are rising. Emaneska's Long Winter remains as bitter as a blade between the ribs. War is fast approaching. Gods and demons are hovering on the horizon. Long-lost revelations arrive to haunt the lives of three men.
"Harry Potter meets Lord of the Rings."
- NottingHarp, Amazon Reviewer
While Farden the Written mage busies himself digging up his past in the strange deserts of Paraia, the storm-clouds begin to gather for Durnus, Elessi, Cheska, and Modren.
"There are certain twists that will surprise the reader by genuinely coming out of the left field."
- Fantasy Book Critic
Together with Farfallen and his dragon-riders, they must fight to survive against the Long Winter, the vicious machinations of the new Arkmage, and the arrival of something much deadlier than both combined. War, deception, and murder are quickly becoming the only paths to salvation...
I will say it’s very well written and I would encourage others to still read it! I can only express my opinion and it just wasn’t working for me I just struggled so hard to get into the book and connect properly!
Lindsay (1717 KP) rated Chipper Makes Merry in Books
Oct 5, 2021
The pictures are well done. I love the way Chipper is determined. But will he be successful? Will he have to help his friends out even when they're a few mess-ups along the way. Will Chipper get these two friends to help out and maybe cheer up Moose?
This book deals with kindness and determination. Children will want to read this book year-round. However, it remains set during the cold winter season. Chipper's plan does ruin, or will he find a way to be successful in making things, Merry.
Children will want to cheer on this little friendly fox. They will laugh and encourage their little furry friend with his little surprises when he tries and leaves them for this friend. Will it work? Children will enjoy the fun of this book. This phase is said repeatedly throughout the book "Tip Toe, Tip Toe, Crackle, Crunch!" I wonder how it all ends up for Chipper and his furry friends?
